Anyone else feel kinda sorry for Bengi?

He has done just about everything Faker has, is the only other player to attend 3 world championships, let alone win them, plus he went 3-0 just these semis against Peanut, the "best jungler in the world." He has a long legacy of being a top tier jungler, but while everyone is always," OMG FAKER LAST HIT A MINION. HE IS SUCH A GOD!!!!!" the general opinion of bengi is "yeah, he is pretty good on the whole, but let's talk some more about Faker again."

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to take anything away from Faker. It is just that I think Bengi deserves a little more credit than he gets often from casters and fans. This dude has been around a long time, has plenty of trophies under his belt, and makes a strong case for the best jungler to play League of Legends.

I might be alone here, but I just thought I would throw that out there.

I'm honestly tired of the Faker and SKT Koreaboo circlejerk. I stopped watching worlds after quarterfinals.

You're right man. It gets rather monotonous. I think the casters just focus too much on faker, so while waiting for the big plays they hype up every little thing he does. "See how he's walking to lane? This is crazy! Its the most optimal path that a mid laner can take!"

No, not at all. Bengi has never been anywhere close to as good as Faker and as such he doesn't get as much credit. He was always a supportive player on SKT, and Faker was the main carry. Theres a reason why Bengi was benched in the first place.

I like Bengi a lot as a jungler. Definitely my favorite member of SKT. I feel like not only is he overlooked but Fakers attitude makes it even worse. They asked Bengi how he felt being with Faker for so long and he acted like he enjoyed his time. All Faker had to say was basically "hes a good jungler". No attachment to his teammate. Also Ive noticed Faker in general is becoming way more cocky. I know he's looked up to by SO many people but honestly he used to be so humble and now hes like yeah no need to cheer cuz were gonna be here again next year. So arrogant now. I agree with you entirely about Bengi being overlooked

The thing is he is not the best Jungler out there, other junglers like Peanut are better than him. So he is good but he is not the bestso get eclipsed by the best midlaner.

And lets be honest, the best junglers do they job on silence, specially since riot turned junglers into secondary supports.

I think Bengi is the best support jungle in the game, and this is what SKT seems to want from thier jungle so he is the best jungle for SKT. Although I will say that SKT won the group stage and the quarterfinal with blank along with spring split, and MSI. I also do not think SKT lost games 2 nor 3 in the semifinal because of blank. With that said Bengi could be the clutchest player in the game, when he is needed the most he's throws up huge. Amazing player and love to see him play.

I think the Benji and Faker relationship is similar to the Pippen and Jordan relationship. Pippen was a good player but he wasn't on the same level as Jordan and same thing with Benji and Faker.

League of Legends it's the lane players that get the press and the glamour and in most cases it's the MID Champions because they scale up quicker with blue buffs/ stay in mid and just farm/ most cases the shotcaller/has the best roaming potential/etc.

I don't think it bothers Benji because he and Faker knows that it takes a TEAM to win the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP but the fans will always go to just 1 player maybe 2 because it's easier. If you're a Miami Heat or LA Lakers or Celtic fan and they win the Championship do you say all the players names and thank all the players on those teams for all their sacrifices; or do you just remember the STAR player.
For Example Lakers 2009. People will just say Kobe Bryant did it again he carried the Lakers to a Championship, but people forget about Ariza's steals and Pau's effort, Fisher's 3's etc etc.

Overall the important thing is that Faker himself thanks Benji for everything he has done on SKT with him that is why they are both still playing together and both are still winning but again it's a TEAM.

i think it was game 2. when faker gets the ori ulty on two of the enemy fleeing back to mid tower through the jgl and bengi (olaf) finishes one of the kills, the announcer calls bengi fakers "3rd summoner spell"

i died laughing and realized their teamwork is what gets skt such an advantage.

I can't feel too bad for someone who has won 3 World Championships. Especially when there are people like Calitrlolz or all of SKT's backups to feel bad for.

Caster's have said multiple times that faker can't be faker if the jungler doesn't give him vision and assist him and lets be real here. faker gets a lot of help and most of his kills are him and junglers invading the enemy jg or ganking other lanes. faker dies solo as much as he gets kills his 1v1s aren't anything special but he has the best decision making in the world in team fights.
