why is lulu such a priority in LCS?
She seems banned out or picked a lot, but not really complained about in the ways other champions are when they reach pick/ban status

She can top, mid, or support quite well. This allows your team to keep from being counterpicked since you have no idea where she is going. Plus she brings tons of utility to any team comp.
People in the LCS are not whiny little f*****s!
Lulu is one of the best flex picks in the game. She can play virtually 3 roles, so she allows teams to avoid hard matchups by shifting her in a different position from the one shw was initially picked She is also one of thebest at the protect the carry style
In the actual, nonexistent, meta, these are the two most requested things from achamp, that's why she is pick/banned a ton
Great poke for lane dominance and can keep an ADC safe by herself. She also offers fantastic support toward engages with the knockup on her ultimate, along with the slowing field it provides. She does just about everything aside from directly healing and hard engage, sort of similar to Thresh.
Lulu retains extreme utility with decent damage and poke to be safe in any position. Her usefulness to a team directly scales with how good the player is with Lulu, and Lulu has a very high capacity for helping out her entire team. Her kit requires one to micromanage both teams at once and make decisions based on what's happening actively. She's very squishy, but does not constitute a threat on her own in most cases. She's just a very good champion in every aspect, but depends quite a bit on your team and communication to be the most effective. She has peel, poke, safety, shields, cc and is cute. Not much more to ask for.
She is a really easy champion for non mechanical players to use and she does really well in protect the ADC comps. Her ult also hard counters assassins on it's own.
She's a flex pick lane bully who still scales well into the late game with teamfight power. The thing is, she isn't a carry, so she isn't attractive in Solo Queue, so people rarely complain about her.
It's because in solo queue your first priority is to carry yourself, and Lulu has 0 ability to do that. It's not that SHE's OP, it's that she can make autoattack-based carry OP with her crazy strong AA buff and shield. (Try AtkSpd Lulu with a Nashor's in a Normal game, you'll see what I mean.)
shes a huge cockblocker and shes cute and shes fun to play
lulu is a great carry protecting anti assasin champion, very useful in organized play.
The CC you get from her is very reliable. And lots of utility overall.
Lulu Is one of those champions who has an ability for almost every situation, or many that can be used both ways. That opens up what a player can do drastically and brings something valuable from just 1 champion that you otherwise may have to pick 2 champions to have.
She's basically the perfect team player champ, with Ori probably closest behind her in that regard. People need to understand that pros rarely pick champs based off raw power and usually pick them based on what they're trying to do that game and how well a champ works with other players. Lulu has a lot to offer both allies and enemies while being a bit better rounded that Nami and Ori.
Its probably because she's not played much at all in solo queue at low elos because a) she's "boring" to play in that her kit is mostly utility based instead of burst damage based and b) because her purpose is mainly to help an ad deal damage consistently which means that you lose alot of your capacity to carry a game when compared to other mages a/o midlaners
She has really solid damage with minimal AP, unbelievable amounts of CC and support for her team. Either being debuffs for enemy or buffs for your team. It's probably easier demonstrated than told. Should try playing lulu support. You feel more like a mage than a "support". It's quite fun and get to save your teammates from misplays/bad positioning extremely easily.
Probably one of the easier champs to carry a solo queue game from "support" role.
