NA LCS only on weekends. Why?

EU LCS is like every weekday, but NA LCS is only on the weekend. I almost never have the time to watch the NA LCS as I have a lot of other things going on on the weekends. However, I watch like every EU LCS game because my weekdays are super open. Riot, why did you choose to have the NA LCS only on weekends? Why not do half and half on weekdays for NA/EU and then half and half for NA/EU on weekends. That way every region can enjoy watching their teams no matter when they are available.

I'm sure there's a good reason, I'm just wondering what it is.

EULCS is Thursday and Friday. NALCS is Saturday and Sunday.

Both are two days long. EULCS gets the work day options because of the timezones. Having the EULCS at ~noon in North America on a weekday makes more sense than having the NALCS start at ~1AM in Europe on weekdays from a viewership standpoint.

Opposite is true for the weekend side. If we start on Saturday at ~Noon in NA, it starts at ~6 PM in Europe. If we started on Saturday at ~noon in Europe, it would be ~6 AM in NA. And who wants to be up at 6 AM on a Saturday?

It would cost too much... and be hard to follow if NA/EU playtimes were split over 4 days.
