So Lol Esports had posted their top 20 players at Worlds prior to the tournament.

LoL Esports' Worlds Top 20

For those too lazy to click the link (shaaame):

N° 20 - DOUBLELIFT N° 19 - BANG N° 18 - PICCABOO N° 17 - APHROMOO N° 16 - ZIV N° 15 - BJERGSEN N° 14 - HUNI N° 13 - SSUMDAY N° 12 - WESTDOOR N° 11 - MARIN N° 10 - PAWN N° 09 - CLEARLOVE N° 08 - YELLOWSTAR N° 07 - DEFT N° 06 - PYL N° 05 - ROOKIE N° 04 - KAKAO N° 03 - GODV N° 02 - IMP N° 01 - FAKER

So after Worlds has passed, what do you think has changed with this list?

Personally, relative to team performance (moreso than individual performance, though this should still count somewhat), I think the list should be...

Honorable Mentions Albis - Vital in supporting the breakout star in AN (ahq) Bjergsen - Likely the only one on TSM that didn't consistently lose his lane Hai - For carrying the drowning C9 to Worlds, and the catalyst for Incarnation's evolution Sneaky - He finally woke up after his terrible Spring and Summer splits

#N° 20 - IMP (LGD) #N° 19 - AN (ahq) #N° 18 - XPEKE (Origen) #N° 17 - KORO1 (EDG) #N° 16 - KUR0 (KOO Tigers) #N° 15 - PICCABOO (KT Rolster) #N° 14 - MITHY (Origen) #N° 13 - HOJIN (KOO Tigers) #N° 12 - YELLOWSTAR (Fnatic) #N° 11 - NIELS (Origen) #N° 10 - PRAY (KOO Tigers) #N° 09 - SSUMDAY (KT Rolster) #N° 08 - WOLF (SKT) #N° 07 - GORILLA (KOO Tigers) #N° 06 - BENGI (SKT) #N° 05 - FEBIVEN (Fnatic) #N° 04 - BANG (SKT) #N° 03 - SMEB (KOO Tigers) #N° 02 - FAKER (SKT) #N° 01 - MARIN (SKT)

Who's in your Top 20?

Marvin and sweb for 1 and 2. Faker did nothing that was awesome like back in 2013. This year we got to see Marvin and smeb 2v1 multiple times

Faker was overrated

This looks too based on team performance.

your list is similar to mine. Like I said, I'd put faker 3 and push up smeb and marvin. N° 20 - AN (ahq) N° 19 - KORO1 (EDG) N° 18 - PICCABOO (KT Rolster) N° 17 - REIGNOVER (Fnatic) N° 16 - MITHY (Origen) N° 15 - REKKLES (Fnatic) N° 14 - PRAY (KOO Tigers) N° 13 - XPEKE (Origen) N° 12 - NIELS (Origen) N° 11 - YELLOWSTAR (Fnatic) N° 10 - SSUMDAY (KT Rolster) N° 09 - WOLF (SKT) N° 08 - GORILLA (KOO Tigers) N° 07 - Febeven (KOO Tigers) N° 06 - Kuro (Fnatic) N° 05 - BENGI (SKT) N° 04 - bang (KOO Tigers) N° 03 - faker (SKT) N° 02 - smeb (SKT) N° 01 - marvin (SKT)

That's pretty much almost like yours. But I stand by what I said, Faker this year did not impress me at all. Marvin and Smeb out performed him. The meta just doesn't involve much from mid laners, hence they are stuck in mid lane just farming it out. I think Bjerg was the only person who I can recall getting good 1v1 fights. With that said, it also doesn't help that Faker/skt likes to sub in another mid lane. So in total, Faker did have many games so show for, so I don't see any reason why he is top 1 on your list. This meta allowed a lot of top laners to shine and I think they did, 3 of the pentas were made by top laners. Yes, Faker had one good game with Ryze, but nothing else.
