Let's See What's Cooking in the Other Regions

I'm bored. Let's check out how the other regions are doing. Here we will briefly check in on the standings of the LEC, LCK, and LPL.

LEC: G2 is ballin after their win at MSI and continue to make the rift their partying grounds in the LEC. But, in their quest for world domination, lies their first true test in a resurgent Fnatic. The stakes, incredibly high! The winner gets to maintain perfection and assert themselves as the current Kings of Europe. Who will win, will the winner get complacent, will the loser fall due to demoralization? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z! As for the rest of Europe, there also happens to be 6 teams tied at 2-2 for some reason. At the bottom, Excel is still trash, it's been this way since they formed. As for Vitality, they have gotten off to a really rough start and are 0-4. Knowing Vitality, YamatoCannon will motivate the team and the team will pull a deep playoff run out of their ass.

LCK: Let's see how SKT is doi.... oh....ohhhh dear. I guess their a bit drained after their loss at MSI. The sexy new superpowers of Korea, however, are King-Zone and Griffin. They have fairly light schedules before they get to duke it out on June 30th. Let's hope it's as good as the regular season match between SKT and Griffin last Spring. Then there is a 4-way tie for 3rd between Gen G., Damwon, Sandbox, and Afreeca (each with 3 wins, though Damwon and Gen G. have played 5 sets while the other 2 haven't). KT Rolster is in an awkward spot at 2-3 and hopes to separate themselves from mediocrity. They also used necromancy before the start of the Split to revive Pray. SKT is desperate to stay ahead of Hanwha and Jin Air to avoid relegations, yes there are still relegations in Korea. Speaking of Jin Air, without Teddy to carry them, they don't have a star to inflate their numbers and waste the prime of said star.

LPL: IG is in a weakened state without star midlaner Rookie and are struggling at a 500 record. This leaves the door open for a new team to rule supreme. The competition will be tight as the LPL is really top heavy as there are already 4 teams that have accumulated over 4 wins. RNG look to reassert themselves as China's apex predator. Standing their way on their revenge tour is FunPlus Phoenix who also dominated the start of the Spring Split. The middle of the pack is absolutely huge as of this moment with recognizable teams like EDG, IG, LGD, and OMG (who is somehow still alive). Let's see who's at the bottom, we have VG, WE, Dominus, and Rogue Warriors huh. Wait what!? WE and VG are winless! These teams have been consistent playoff contenders for the past 2 years. What happened?

And that concludes our world tour of Pro League of Legends.

A complete reversal for the team coached by Yamato in a sense because which ever team he coaches tend to SUCK in the spring but are really good in the Summer.
Something needs to be done with Vitality because they are 0-4 as well as the fact Jiizuke is playing really dumb.......but he's VIT's best performing player!
Kikis I think will be replacing Mowglie.

I don't think G2 will go undefeated but they are looking to Win Worlds at this rate!

EDG and RNG are looking better after a mediocre last few splits. Is this the same ole' same ole' between EDG and RNG? The same EDG that locks up the #1 LPL Seed only to barely make it out of Groups to only get bent over in QT's at Worlds?

LCK has 5-6 good teams but only 3 can make it to Worlds which sucks because either A.) Some are good teams but a bit wet behind the ears, B.) Has name value only, or C.) has a star player or two but not much else.

Another great post !

Whoa hold on - first take my approval of this; was a fun read - but whoa hold on a second. I fall back on my joys of LPL shenanigans (plus I like Raz) and I can fill in a couple of points here n there.

  1. VG has been ass since franchising. Even before that. WE on the other hand have been the perennial Spring Team in the last 2 years. At this point, not a major surprise.

  2. Rogue Warriors: roster overhaul into 2019, no major star power. Expected.

  3. Dominus...chalking that up to being downloaded for being the squad of rookies.

If I had to chalk up the current standings, it'd be something like this:

FPX - Yep RNG - Expected LNG - When did Snake learn to play? SN - Hmm (Reads their SoS) Yeah that's not lasting TES - (Also reads their SoS) No threats yet EDG - Face RNG and I determine OMG - Actually feels misleading V5 - Not banking on them IG - Taking the RNG route, eh? (Respectably so) BLG - Haven't watched a game of theirs LGD - Pending disappointment JDG - Expected by SoS The rest - The rest

SKT has been a pretty big letdown. Aside from Teddy, their team has been plagued with weird inconsistency. Khan and Mata each have stretches of garbage games then has one or two solid outings. Clid has been mostly good, but every now and then seems just invisible. Faker seems to often play some solid matches, but every now and then just seems annoyed with what's going on and pulls out a weird pick just to shake things up and it doesn't go well. It seems Mata and Khan were poor choices, or at least the weakest links currently.
