they came in fourth place and automatically qualified for worlds (throught points) because TSM won. If C9 had won, TSM would have automatically qualified (through points) and CLG would have had to go through the gauntlet. CLG is being "boosted" in the sense that each region sends its top 3 teams to worlds, but CLG didnt have to beat the 2nd or 3rd place teams to take their spot because TSM did it for them.

if TSM won CLG got a guaranteed worlds spot...meaning clg was reliant on doublelift winning that game to avoid the gauntlet
