So, Kennen Top is becoming popular in EU LCS again...

I've only seen the SK vs UoL game with him so far, but I have a theory.

CC-to-death is a common thing for some teams to go with. Gnar leep with Ori Ult followed by Gnar ult followed by Morgana ult... you get the idea.

Kennen naturally counters this, since even if you stun him if you stand too close you'll get stunned by his ult. This interrupts the chain CC, and gives Kennens team a chance to counter attack.

Just a thought, might be wrong.

Not OP. No champion is OP. However, he has many tools that make him a favored pick at the higher competitive level. He is a team player, who is effective at all stages of the game in terms of damage, CC, and overall teamfight presence. I think he is just as effective as Lissandra or Rumble, just with different strengths and weaknesses.

I'm not surprised that he is making a comeback. I was actually surprised that he disappeared from the competitive scene for a year

Kennen has been strong for a long time, he just isn't that popular because he hasn't really been played in LCS. He used to be insta pick/ban for a long time. I'm still scared for the time when he becomes popular again. Both Kennen and Lux.

Kennen brings a lot to team fights. And is becoming popular with the double AP lanes with AD jungle comp many have been running.

Kennen isn't very strong, so him getting play won't mean much. I still saw him in normals anyway, so its not like he was secret op (he isn't poppy). I dont' expect any nerfs.
