Where's the DONGER in LCS?
He's got a strong (sometimes oppressive) laning phase, and his ultimate makes him really flexible in teamfights. Not to mention his crazy high win rates in soloQ. Why do you guys think the Donger isn't used in pro play?

He's got basically negative mobility. Where competitive play is often defined by rotations, mobility and strategic decisions, Heimerdinger is only truly strong when he has time to set up shop in a very specific place, and bait his enemy into attacking him there.
When at a stage where the slightest out of placement can change a game a non mobility champ is useless. The singer can destroy a Lanning phase, in solo q, but in LCS probably would get camped to hell because the top and bot lanes can hold their own.
because noone uses him as support, where he would shine the most as far as profesional play goes...they are just to limited in their champion roosters for the most part.
Heimer is a zone control mage that takes too long(in organized play) to set up his zone of control. Azir can have his soldiers up and ready in what ~6secs or so(don't have his cd's handy at the moment) heimer takes significantly longer. Also given the number of poke and smite mids that are being played, during laning his turrets will get chunked early if used to push the lane or ignored if used for vision in the side bushes from jungle intervention.
if organized play ever gets to a protoss cannon creep style where you slowly expand down an area, he could see pickup but he just doesn't have a current niche where there isn't a better choice.
I think he could work in a 1/3/1 setup, but pretty much only that. I have been wondering when I would see him in the LCS as part of a 1/3/1 comp.
He applies enormous pressure to the lane he is in, but his roaming is meh. I also don't think there are two many Donger players in LCS, and the one I do know (Cabochard) is a top laner. He just isn't good in top lane or as a Teleporter.
is just too good for the LCS. He is used a bit in Challenger, so we may see him soon.
