You are forgetting that if it was called a rematch, it would have been unfair for Echo Fox, so that doesn't solve anything. They had a 7 turret lead (CG had yet to take a turret) and a 10k Gold lead, in addition to one inhib and a baron buff. If you take that away from Echo Fox and make them start from scratch, just as many people would be calling the game "unfair." It was a lose-lose situation for the LCS officials.

I think that the decision was fair but it feels shitty for all sides, so the frustration with the result is understandable. Riot made the best of a terrible situation, though the real issue is that game crashing bugs like that are able to make it to competitive.

I actually experienced this bug the other day. I thought the Tali was just but hurt about something when she dc'd then my game also froze. My duo buddy left the game and said it didn't even register in match history the game was even played. I also exited and he was right. No history of that game ever existing. No LP loss or gain. Hopefully Riot figures out what is causing it and finds a fix.
