BO2 and BO3 in the LCS

I honestly think that these changes to LCS will be great, but as an EU fan, i really do think that EU has kinda been a bit sidelined. I don't have a problem with the BO2, as opposed to BO3, in fact, i think BO2s will be just as exciting if not more than a BO3, my issue is really with the scheduling .

To me it seems a bit ridiculous, that EU, will be, and has been, on Thurs and Fri, and not on the weekend, and NA has been on the weekend which is almost always easier for people to watch, especially seeing as, though i may get some hate for this, EU teams have historically always performed better than Na. Surely it can't be hard for Riot to schedule both NA and EU games on the weekend, of course, some games can be on thu and fri. So each region needs 10 games a week, in na thats 10 BO3, in EU 10 BO2. So lets say we have 2 EU games on Thurs, followed by 2 NA, this works cuz time difference, then on friday, the same, on Sat, have 3 Eu and 3 NA, and the same on sunday, even start EU at like 3 pm or so GMT to make enough time to start NA at a reasonable time, it doesn't matter really how early EU starts, its the weekend, and most sports start about that kinda time here anyways, thats when we watch most sport, not at like 9pm when some lcs games start, (yes some sport is in the evening but the vast majority is in the afternoon).

This would also eliminate the need for this stupid system of multiple games at once, which is stupid, riot are literally going to compete for viewers with themselves, wtf, and its irritating as its near impossible to properly watch all the games.

TLDR: I like the ideas of the BO3 and BO2, just the way riot is implementing it is a bit stupid and ridiculous

You seem to of missed what they said as for the reasons behind the different formats for NA and EU.

It's a test to see which one works better, what one comes out on top will be installed accross the board next spring split.

As for competing for views they are having a multi view of you wish so you can watch all and enable audio on the one your most interested in, like a multi twitch and if I remember right they start on the same days butnhave two games running at one time so you don't actually get a time increase on the amount of time from start > finish

NA and EU are shown on separate days unless something changed

Do we have the schedule for those already? If not, I'm pretty sure both LCS will be played from thursday to sunday at the same time considering how many games would have to be played for each.

Just a comment on you saying EU performs better then NA. Season 4 Eu didn't get out of the group stage so it's not always.

You have to bear in mind that they have to keep their casters schedules (and as such their payroll for ther casters) in mind. If I'm a caster or a part of the analyst team (like Dash or Sjokz, who both host the analyst desk), they would then have to work everyday for four in a row. This would greatly limit what else they can do. Dash also does /allchat which is a good chunk of time as well. Not to mention, there is PTL that occupies a lot of casters time as well as the NA and EU Challenger Series. I just don't tbink it's feasible to expect both the NA and EU caster teams to be casting LCS four days a week.
