Jensen leaves C9
Wow I’m really hurt by this. Anyone have any idea why ? I’m so shocked I’m a hardcore C9 fan

I kinda have mixed feelings about C9 benching their players; the problem is, that we have little insight into the reasons for it. From what we know from interviews, Jensen and Sneaky both had lost their motivation; low soloq ranking etc etc. If they were acting like "we dont need to practice anymore, we are stars" then doing nothing would've meant they'd keep loosing. Past performance has nothing to do with current performance. In this case, benching them would have been necessary;
There are just two problems. For one, we dont know how bad it really was. Makes it hard to judge...
Second, posting it online for the lols was unprofessional at best...
One big reason for him leaving (i think) would be that he would have to share time on stage, something pro players generally dont like doing.
I am (was) a hardcore C9 fan for years. Basically since they came in to the league, but this shouldn't have been so hard to see coming. Reapered and Jack have completely lost their minds when it comes to how to treat their players and their stars.
You can't just bench your star guys, lose almost every single game, bring them back, and expect everything to be happy go lucky. Jensen and Sneaky were both humiliated by Jack and Reapered. Filmed being benched and posted to the internet with hardly any reason why other than "We need to be more motivated."
Then, to top it all off, when Jensen and Sneaky were brought back and started carrying the team... like they have done for the last 3/4 splits, Reapered took all of the credit and was hailed as some kind of coaching god by the eSports media. I'm sure Jensen and probably Sneaky weren't having it at all.
I'm so glad to see Jensen move on and I can only hope Sneaky goes somewhere new as well. I tweeted at Jack back around week 4 or 5 of this past split that he needed to sell the organization, fire Reapered and apologize to his players publicly for what he did... and he blocked me. I can only imagine how toxic of a person he is behind the scenes. I don't think this is the last we're going to be seeing/hearing from C9 being on a long and down path.
FIN
greetings, this aquisition of Jensen is paid by steve.
I don't feel that Jensen was playing like his old self, so its not too shocking to see this, but ya really have to wonder who can take his place after all the synergy he had built with his teammates.
I think C9 believes Goldenglue has improved enough to where he can takeover the role sufficiently to work with C9 he has good chemistry with Svenskeren. I know he has been the butt of many jokes in years past (admittedly plenty of my own) but he has improved significantly. As good as Jensen? Ehhhhh when motivated I would say no, but I would say C9 believes he improved enough to where he could make a good impact for the team, good enough to let Jensen move elsewhere since he had some issues earlier this year.
Good. I didn't like Jensen anyways.
Sneaky, Svenskeren, and Licorice, however... :(
Jensen isnt good anyways. C9 probably wouldve won worlds if they kept Sneaky and Jensen on the bench.
Maybe Riot made C9 break up after so many years of C9 outperforming the other NA teams? That or C9 thought their ceiling was reached and they couldn't ever make it as far as they did at Worlds this past year? Similar to the Indiana Pacers 2011-2014 were each year they got a bit better but after the same story unfolded year after year, they themselves knew they could never rekindle such flame and decided to break the core group up. The rest of NA is kinda like the Pacers from 2016-2018: eliminated in the first round each year.
