Why Neeko Is Important to me

I've noticed a lot of people are asking how one could relate to this champion so I figured why not add an opinion?

Neeko seems like she comes from an island somewhere warm and tropical, which is where my family is from, Dominican Republic. The champion herself is super bright, and playful. Adding onto that, she's a lesbian. Well yeah, same here. I guess feeling like I can relate to a champion makes me happier to play them. Neeko might not be your cup of tea but for those of us who are feeling like we have a bit more representation please have consideration for those of us who are happy about it. Maybe the next champion or rework will be your cup of tea!

I'm gay and I don't feel better playing or seeing gay characters. I think the very idea of wanting representation is stupid. Downvote as you will.

Neeko makes me happy because I love to see some certain group of Boards members lose their shit cuz she's lesbian, I can sense the salt in the air.

Eh. The lesbian detail of her bio was just unnecessary. I don't appreciate sexualizing characters for no good reason other then fill a quota of needing a lesbian champion. If she was launching with another champion that was her "partner" like the famous bot duo of yesteryear I'd understand.

I don't know how or why threads are booming today with "Neeko is a Lesbian." I listened through the voiceovers, and I didn't get that impression. I got the impression that she is just fond and curious of "EVERYONE." She actually has male pairing compliments that are in line with the champ she is mimicing too. And nothing she overtly says about the females says "Sexual." They suggest admiration and curiosity.

Edit: The writer confirmed it...... found it.

Well... Gratz! (Until I saw that, I was thinking curious daughter vibe, but that ship's now sailed lol)

I don't have an opinion either way, but I'm glad for what she means to you guys :)

Before reading this I thought you would say "She is cute that is why I want to play her" but after reading this I respect your opinion, and at the end you said like "hey maybe this new champ you won't like but later there might be a champ you do
