Stop whining about Akali

Isn't there countless other champions who aren't fun to play against?

Rengar Brand Jax DrMundo Khazix (remember 90% slow on this guy) Fizz Yasuo (can go from being 0/10 to one shotting your team if he farms enough. Pyke Leblanc (Where's the counterplay to her? Or Pyke's execute.)

I'm not sure if you guys just don't play the game enough to see all the other busted champions who by the way are just as disgusting if not more than Akali but if they're not in your face you can just shrug it off and not make a big deal of it. Not long ago most of you were bitchin' about how Fizz's E mechanic shouldn't be in the game. At another point it was Twitch ;s stealth. Wukong got buffed for 2 minutes and everyone cried bloody murder. Adapt and figure out ways to play against her.

Downvote to infinity and beyond it's just unbelievable they touch akali with some changes and nerfs and some of you still aren't happy till she's as butchered as Zoe was. (Who got nerfed to oblivion and had to be buffed because she was useless without the power in her kit.)

People have valid criticisms against Akali because True Stealth is an inherently unfun mechanic. Towers used to be a defense, a place to play safely and try to farm up when getting bullied by assassins. Akali removes that fundamental aspect of towers and is generally frustrating to fight against.

As of right now, Akali, Irelia, Jax, and Yasuo are all the most complained about champions but it's not without valid reasoning.

Buy health and/or dodge it. Don't let him start a chain, it's the same as fighting Karthus, Darius, Zed, or any other high damage champion. Keep your guard up, keep your health up, don't get hit by his telegraphed ultimate. There's tons of counter play to Pyke.

I'm not happy without a lot of the damage coming from some champions as much as the next person. Riot hasn't really done that great of a job at balancing but they can't use that as an outlet on one champion. Im excited to see what they do to Morgana and Kayle so that they can go on about the next busted thing in Kayle's mechanic(s) will be lol.

Riot would never listen to the community unless 99% of us were outraged over something and demanded change. People complaining on the boards saying "gut Akali" aren't speaking constructively and should be ignored. The playerbase doesn't control the game.

Her winrate isn't the issue. Is it a bonus? Sure, it's nice to see her weakened, but her mechanics that people hate (true stealth, multiple dashes, execute, and consistent healing) are all still in the game and have little counter play to most champions.

Was it a step in the right direction? Of course, but the core reasoning of why people hate Akali is still in the game and that's why people complain.

So gut Akali, and don't nerf Kha and Brand.

I don't get why people like to absolutely gut champions, I hate Brand, but do I want him to gut gutted? Not really since if i get to level 6 i can one v one him easily. They didn't nerf his early game, same with Kha. Who face rolls you if he has one kill.

There is ZERO CHANCE of Riot REVERTING Akali. They are already looking into making changes to the way she interacts with her shroud, but a 100% revert is absolutely nonsense to even suggest.

I isn't nonsense, Riot is incompetent to fixing Akali right now and in the future. Revert is the best direction to go with it, as it is the healthiest option for the game.

I didn't say it was fucking healthy, it's just the healthiest and best option right now. UNLESS they did a good job on fixing her in season 9 (Which most of Akali community don't expect it).

much of this backlash is also stemming from higher elo players, even professor akali who is probably the most well known akali player besides TF blade has had major issues with the balancing of this champion for some time.

Whether or not their complaints merits a revert is up for debate but riot has put a ton of eggs into this Akali basket and another revert on top of rengar, kog'maw, leblanc, and probably another one or two I may not be thinking of would be a PR nightmare for them. I do believe if more of the higher elo players voice their concerns they'll probably at least look at a more considerable fix

Realistically a lot of us aren't in higher elo. Since I'm competitive by nature I actually enjoy playing against akali by meeting broken with broken. If I go mid and she's something I have to play against you bet I'm playing another mobile and stealthy champion.
