I'm sure he wasn't the only one, the picks looked really bad tbh, idk if AHQ just played it out poorly, or if C9 just played incredibly well.

I think trist won them that, then the fizz dive just ended AHQ.

Trist was a good pick imo, the rest were questionable, I assume Lee was just a comfort pick for Hai.

I'm going with ahQ playing poorly I mean, you got to do a choice of what do you want to do to win. Exploit your top lane advantage of Ziv vs Balls? Ok, send pressure through rengar or Fizz there and don't back-up when you are winning trade (a mistake Ziv did too much in early game when he getting too scared of GP powder kegs) Want to shut down a late game oriented player like Veigar? Ok, after you got that first kill on him, just keep pressing him at the cost of risking pressure somewaye else Want to avoid Sneaky get advantage on a siege champ like Tristana? then collpase on bot lane Want to globally focus on objectives to have advantages late game? Ok, start to rotate and go hard for these objectives

Their strategic choice to win the game was...well..boh? Nothing aside from trying to win single lanes, which they even failed on mid (and on bot it should be expected the plan to fail unless you were really underrating Sneaky)? That was the main problem...in the end, ahQ was sitting on a growing advantage that was starting to get somewhat relevant (around 1,5 k gold advantage relatively early in the game), and they basically stopped doing anything and allowed C9 carry champions to scale and starting melting towers down...also, that fight on mid lane, was really terrible, or you all go in, or no one engages, once Rengar jumps in you have to immediately follow and not just hover around trying to deal some poke damage while one of your carries champs (like Rengar can be) get eaten alive

The way they played with the rengar pick really disappointed me. I was waiting for him to eat veigar's midget ass. The only pick I thought c9 had better was tristana ad.

Mountain on rengar tried at times, but he just tried to make some extremely risky play diving into 3 of C9 roster, which became no sense when the other ahQ guys didn't follow The problem was the lack of a decent general gameplay and communication Really, iG and ahQ in their game shown a S3 level preparation of the game which is inexcusable for team looking to advance to QF and FNC/C9 got advantage of this thing

On paper, it might look bad, but the comp of C9 systematically countered AHQ. They had four melees, whilst C9 had an AoE stun with Veig, an AoE slow and stun with Morg, an AoE slow with GP, etc. Teamfighting would and should have been in C9's favour.

I can't believe ahQ screwed so much with their game strategy

And Westdoor performance on Fizz was really awful, come on, Fizz can naturally counter Veigar stun with ease...

I can't believe they won that.

Viegar, GP and Trist are amazing lategame picks. I'm surprised they won it so fast.

Letdown because they ROFL stomped their opponent?

Feel sad for team in their decision making... even thou they won??

and it looked like they controlled the game from mid to end with what they did.
