pro play is getting boring because of the balance.

hey there.

i have never had enough time to play league of legends at a steady basis. yet i have always enjoyed watching the matches for hte pro teams while i am on the way to work or while eating and shit like that... it's been years now that i am losing interest in even that because of the fact that teams will always pick the same champions over and over and over again.

and this is making me feel that i am actually expecting out of league of legends more than it actually can give as a game. and maybe as a company. don't get me wrong now since i am not trying to be mean. what i am trying to say here is that the champion pool that they choose from is so limited. enough for me to memorize every single tactic they have done or at least enough for me to stop getting surprised anymore. all i want to see these days is when frogen picks Anivia or when ekko is picked in hope to see a change in the game strategies. now the problem is that we all know that pro teams pick those champions from a limited champion pool to win. but it also means the actual number of champions that league of legends have is not 144 and no where near that number. we could argue that the actual number of champions in league of legends is like 20 or less at least from what we see in pro play. it is as if you are watching a series of 20 or 30 football matches and every match has the exact same football players in both teams.

you could argue and tell me "some new champions have been added to the pro play champion pool" and yes it happens but that's not enough especially when most of the times they out shadow some champions and then the old ones are never picked again. also i understand that balancing pro play could cause troubles in ranked queues. "i mean ranked queue has the same issue anyway where the actual champion pool is not even close to the number of champions in the game"

i don't know about you guys but now i go into the youtube video when it is rebroadcasting only. i jump in between matches hoping for the "nearly 0%" that someone is gonna pick a weird champion and only if and only if there is a match with a weird pick i would watch it now.

i have seen the name "sylas" in almost every single pro game "banned or picked" . and in most of the patch notes. i really think it's about time for riot to address the issue. this game have become the league of sylass.

Pro scene is literally more diverse and the meta is faster paced on average and a lot of swaps and everything more than any time I can remember............

You don't even play the game.... so you literally have no idea how these changes already have made the game a shit ton less fun to play. Yet you want more.....

There is never going to be a split where all or most champs are played. It's just the reality. Once teams have metas figured out for their region they generally going to stick with that...... it's just how it works. With Riot adding 5 bans to each team 3-4? years ago it has helped with champ picks a bit. But ultimately a meta forms every season... every patch... and their is nothing Riot can do about that. You nerf Sylas another champ takes his place and then all you see is that champion. But what you don't see is at times how unplayble some of these champs become in normal play because of how much it has to be balanced around pro play.

At least worlds this year should be hype again as it's not longer Korean best macro in game auto win for double Korea finals like it was for so long. There will be a lot of unique picks and play styles at worlds this year for sure, just like last year. I mean.... you are posting on a EUW account so I assume you watch LEC????? like.... LEC has the craziest picks that I know of besides maybe the LPL? Just watch some G2 games.... like wtf are you even talking about lol. I mean hell Fnatic ran or been running Garen Yuumi bot lane.... "riot please we need more balance we keep seeing the same shit" lmfao.... your post so dumb honestly. I would much rather watch the same adcs than a fucking Yuumi any day honestly but..... here we are.

The champion pool situation won't ever change because no matter what Riot does about "balancing" certain champions, there will always be those that are picked early and often.
Riot nerfs XYZ champions all it will do is make pros play ABC and if ABC and XYZ are nerfed and not picked then DEF and QRS will be picked.

It's similar to the NBA where you know NBA teams will all just shoot 3 pointers.

Put yourself in their shoes in your next ranked game.
You can either pick X champions that are good at the moment and try to win the game. Or, play and pick Z champions that aren't good at the moment but will make you have fun at losing.
What's it called? Don't do onto others that you won't do yourself?

For me personally I don't mind because I've been watching for about 5 years now and kinda expect such. Also, certain players play the same champions differently so it's not all the same. Again, that's just me and I fully understand your and everyone else's situation and annoyance.

Tune in to the LPL. Lots more variety, flashy skirmishes and team fights.... I'd watch LCK more too if it wasn't for that one idiot caster.
