When can we expect to know the team rosters for LCS?

I'm just curious if we'll be able to know who's on which team before the LCS actually starts. I'm especially curious for whomever Echo Fox picks up as they don't have anyone yet.

yeh immortals look good, TSM......mm honestly not too sure, i have faith in yellowstar and DL not so much with Bjerg and Sven, i just dunno don't have a great feeling but it is yellowstar so im not going to underestimate.

C9 look awesome, though minus balls im still not sure on balls, sneaky and Turtle i think are both awesome though and have been unlucky on said teams, for instence sneaky always performs well and is reliable and turtle seems to be beastly when given the chance, or jinx but hopefully he expands.

first time im excited for NA, not cos of EU imports or whatever cos it seems theyve flipped a switch and are thinking '' we ARE going to WIN some shit and damn SOON''

NA is looking absolutely legit. Maybe it's because i watch real sports, but i really couldnt give a fuck about imports. NA have 4 or 5 really good looking teams, and the teams behind that really aren't that bad (Dig isn't bad, RNG look good, CLG are looking worse than last split but still good). Much better than last split... holy shit that had me cringe. Going from watching the NA play offs to the OGN play offs was absolute torture, I'm really glad they finally stepped it up

yeh totally, im really looking forward to this season i think its going to be pretty exciting, NA/EU to win worlds? im not sure but i can hope! and i do not care which it is, as long as its a western team im game!

I dont really see us winning worlds, but we will be at the very least a much stronger region this year. Thank god too, watching NA last split was painful. EU was on such a higher level of play, i hated it. And i think you are underrating Bjerg and Sven. The weird thing about bjerg is everyone has a different opinion on how good he is. I personally think Febiven and PowerofEvil are better, but last split he was undeniably the best mid in NA. I think he is the only other player in NA who will be able to challenge NRG's GBM. He's a good player, a little overhyped some times but most of it is warranted. TSM fans tend to take it too far lol.

I really don't like TSM, just as a fan, but if im being objective here they look REALLY strong atm. Their roster is absolutely god tier, like the level FNC was last split, maybe even better. Last split EU was undeniably the second strongest region in the world, lets see if NA can contend with that this year.

NA teams seem to have a trend of god tier players on a team with shit tier players. I disagree on you're opinion of wildturtle, i think he was pretty shit last year. But think about it, CLG: Zion/Aphromoo- Huhi, RNG:Freeze - RFLegendary, C9: Incar/Rush - Balls, NRG: GBM/Impact - Moon/Konkwon, TL: Piglet/Fenix - whoever they pick up for top lane, IMT: Huni/Reignover - Wildturtle (we'll have to disagree on this one). TSM is the only roster without a glaring weakness.

What do you think is going to be the order of teams next split? disregarding TIP and Echo because we don't know their rosters yet. I think it's going to be C9-TSM-NRG-IMT-TL-RNG-CLG-DIG.

i think that sounds about right for the order to be honest.

Edit: edited my original as i took a second look at IMT's line-up compared to the rest.

don't underestimate Remillia either for Renegades she's now re-considered and is going to the LCS as thier support, which honestly im so happy about for the sport in general. she's a fantastic support. i think alex ich is past it though but then again hes been MIA until renegades so im excited for his return to an LCS setting.

that´s what they said about peke...and then look at his performance at worlds.

also keep in mind that Alex in his prime alreay had a family to support, so a lot additional stress compared to everyone else and he still had been able to play at the very top. If he puts some effort into league he´ll still be a force. (i also donßt think there´s really much good reason to retire early in esports - the needed skills don´t really decline that fast when you grow older...and experience is more important than in sth. like e.g. athletics).

i don´t think dyrus actually fell off - he always had been solid and a teamplayer, never a carry-toplaner. TSM just really missplayed the game as a team and Dyrus got the short stick of it. e.g. M5 played incredibly sucessfull with sacrificing Darien over and over as he would still stay relevant and they would take objectives everywhere else on the map...TSM just sacrificed Dyrus over and over for nothing.

The main debates ive heard are for switching around C9 and TSM, IMT and NRG, and CLG and RNG. Honestly i think all those teams are pretty close to eachother, and between them it could go either way

NRG looks legit too. And i heard Froggen is coming over to NA, if CLG have the brains to pick him up (i know they easily could if they wanted to), they would be up there with IMT and C9. Actually im pretty sure NRG is going to be better than Immortals, is there a reason you have to say otherwise?

The LCS roster lock deadline is January 2nd, and even that is just the lock for the first week's games.

LCS start on January 14 (EU)/15 (NA) and team would likely announce their roster on their sites once they have submitted the roster, so yeah, you should be able to know who is on every team at worst 12-13 days before LCS starts

Can some Na guy explain me why Moon is rated so highly? When I checked something about NACS he didn't look so good at all, the only thing is that he is really young, but his performance were actually not that good even in nACS ebvironment (and in NACS jungle pool Crumbz looked really good when we knos he is mediocre to bad for LCS standards)

Moon isn't rated highly, GBM is a monster though. It will be like old TSM with the godlike midlaner, shitty other players... except he actually does have other good players on his team. And they have a really good support staff, so if anyone can develop young talent it will be NRG.

Moon isn't rated highly but he is often mentioned alongside the good NRG players while KonKwon not, that's what I don't get I don't understand if there is some factor that suggest that he can translate his game to success other than the fact that he is young and he can improve...there are a lot of young players, but not everyone can get good for competitive success

Febiven teared apart CS competition before entering LCS, winning with H2K the expansion tournament before leaving for Fnatic Moon didn't do it with Imagine, basically not being any half-decent of the junglers in last season NA CS and promotions/relegations

Febiven was unproven but everyone knew was talented and he showed it, for Moon...I just don't have the same impression. I think the hype is mostly for his age and consequently his psupposed potential, but being young doesn't mean automatically have high potential, the few times I have seen him I was not impressed at all with him

Nooooo people were shitting on Febiven a year ago. He was a good mechanical player but he had a history of tilting really hard. And all you need is the base of the player, a good coach can easily build up and mould a young player.

People are dumb though Febiven in his first competitive splits was tilitng, but in the last times before joining Fnatic he was being consistently good too and as i have yet mentioned won the Expansion tournament with H2K, it is just that some people stuck with the first impressions of him when he was really really young and still had to improve and didn't give him credit till he showed up huge on Fnatic

Moon in CS has not been nearly as good as Febiven was before joining Fnatic, even accounting for Febiven tilting A good coach can raise young talent, but is Moon that good of a talent? That was I was asking to the guys that were following better NA challenger scene, because what i saw of him didn't impress me, and the only hype factor about him is age only

See, for me Immortals is one of those "Scary picks" (in that they look a bit too good to be true, and could very easily be a huge bust). I'm actually also kinda curious as to the official rosters, as there have been a ridiculous amount of shifts to the teams (maplestreet no longer being Renegades' ADC being the most recent news I heard) to the point that I'd just really like some clarity so I can plan out what games to watch accordingly. Then I won't have to be exposed to boring ones, ie: the two gravity/CLG games from summer split.

yeh bery true, i think it speaks volumes of what peke has done since about his character and ambition too, stepping aside slightly is a very big step i think his champ pool suffers more than anything though but yeh he stepped up at worlds big time i do love alex as a player so i hope he comes back as a force
