Why do Pros leave enemy wards up?

A lot of times I see pros walk over wards and they don't clear them (even though they have ample time to do so).

Is there a strategic reason that they leave these wards up?

Wards that are covered by a pink ward are denied vision. Attacking them will give the ward vision again.

In pro play every second counts, so often they just acknowledge that the ward is there to clear it when the time is right as long as it doesn't give the enemy an strategic advantage, as in situations where it is obvious to the enemy anyway where you are and what you are going to do, like clearing/setting up a wave.

Then there is always the risk that you could get catched while doing it if you don't have enough information on the enemy.

Are you sure they have ample time to do so ? There is no excess of time in game. You always have something to do.

Also if there is support around he will clear the ward.

If you walk over q pink, you're already on the minimap. No point wasting time clearing it when you have to be killing something

I use pinks alot in low elo to bait free kills, and sometimes to get the enemy to back off and not kill me.
