How to carry plat players

Honestly, I don't know how to get through plat. The teammates here are worse than gold, and I've never seen silver.

I don't understand how you can be a plat player and not understand basic shit like pushing sidelines and warding baron. It is not uncommon for me to have teams that will give away 3 barons without contesting them at all. The thing is, it is so fucking obvious to me when they're baroning even if it isn't warded. I just don't understand how you can be plat and have NO macro level game sense whatsoever. It's like they're playing Call of Duty.

How do you get through this division? It doesn't matter how far ahead I am, I can't stop 3 barons. The base will just die to attrition. I'm a mid laner. I'm not a split pusher. I can't smite barons. I really just don't know what to do.

Honestly, it feels like a coinflip every game. Either my teammates know exactly how to play and its a complete stomp or they get blown away and basically walk around the rift with their heads cut off.

You should really learn to accept that your current rank might be the rank you belong in right now, considering you have almost exactly a 50% winrate over close to 300 games.

If you aren't winning a majority of your games over hundreds of games, that isn't a problem with your teammates. Your post comes off more as just complaining about bad teammates than a genuine question on how to improve your own gameplay to continue to climb.

Hmm. I disagree. I do not play carry champions whatsoever. It is quite possible I am above this skill level (which I'm pretty sure I am given my consistent performances), but obviously I am doing something incorreclty which is causing me to lose.

Yes, my teammates are dog shit. Yes, they should know better. That is neither here nor there. As my OP stated, I do not know what to do in these situations and they happen quite frequently. That is why I made the post.
