NA Needs to Stop Picking Ryze

When was the last time NA did well with Ryze internationally? They consistently flounder with that pick. Just give up on the champion. What do you guys think?

The thing is, Pobelter and Ryu have played Ryze has their main champion for the past year. It's their comfort pick. I'm not saying you're wrong as far as NA with Ryze at worlds (much like NA Jayce) but otherwise it's going to be Malzahar 24/7.

Jensen can play anything though and I think he'd be better off on something else too.

I think Malzahar would fair much better than Ryze, but personally I think they should rethink and play some of their risky picks.

Agreed.

I'd like to see Jensen on someone like Orianna.

I feel Ryze's strength is warping the game when playing against teams in the same region. When you are matching up against such different gameplay experiences, I feel that he struggles to provide the same value. NA has consistently not done well with him at worlds and I question why the coaches are continuing to try to push him through.
