G2 sucks , shitty team they took two weeks vacations instead of studying other teams and learning and practising

NA kids who keep spamming '' NA > EU '' you think we are satisfied with that team ? Do you actually think that team represent EU ? We are so ashamed of them .. me and my freinds are now supporting CLG cause they deserved the win , not like that piece of crap named G2 , how did they even win the LCS spring split ? tank ekko abuse ? Then EU should have nothing to worry about long term. Sure G2 messed up but if the teams are actually stronger then that (which I agree with) then come worlds they should be able to hold their own anyway.

I honestly dont understand why people rated EU higher. On paper, NA is stacked with talent. Good NA players, EU imports, KR imports, etc. I mean is it really a surprise that EU is worse? 3 of their players off their best team last year, play in NA.

Its why I never understood why people hyped EU so hard. G2 just isn't a good team, and the same things they did in EU LCS got punished severly by the top teams of other regions. Thats why I didnt understand why G2 was hyped over the Asian teams. Even with CLG, I get, but to put them over LMS/LPL? Please.

Honesty, the overall hate for NA to constantly underrate them is getting old. At this point, NA is loaded to the gills with talent. Far more than EU has. I mean your best team has freaking Kikis as its starting top laner.

To play devil's advocate for a moment...

MSI, before this year, has never been taken very seriously or had any real stakes to it. So before this year, a lot of teams goofed off and didn't train particularly hard for it. This is why you tended to have some pretty unexpected results that were the complete opposite of how Worlds ended up shaking out.

Now, that doesn't excuse G2's failures but it may explain the mindset they got caught up in a little.

Also, with that said, given how far ahead G2 was of the rest of the EU teams for most of the spring slit, it's a little presumptuous to assume any of them would have done any better even with practice.

I mean, don't get me wrong, as much as I'm rooting for CLG, I was hoping G2 could have performed better since I'm a fan of Kikis (my days off from work shake out that I can see more of the EU LCS than the NA LCS sometimes) and I'm disappointed they did so poorly. It just seems a bit much to proclaim them giant failures of the entire region.

The thing is, previous years don't mean diddly, as the stakes are high this year. EU lost it's #1 seed to worlds. That's not a small thing.

Honestly, it'll be interesting to see how they recover from this for the Summer Split. Will they be demoralized and fall in the standings hard or will they learn from it and perform even better in the hopes of not repeating their failure at Worlds?

So while it's okay to be sad/disappointed they failed, I wouldn't get upset unless they continue this behavior in future international tournaments (if they even make it to them). Once is a forgivable (if painful) mistake, more than that is a worrying pattern.

We'll have to wait to see which it is for G2.

I think it was the last game for G2 but how Kikis just stormed off the stage and left his teammates behind shows you he is pissed either on G2 performance alone or how he would go in to fight and his team would do nothing either way you slice it G2 might not recover from MSI. They might do Great again in Eu summer split but when 70% of the Star EU players are in NA its kinda hard testing your true power against teams like Giants ( in my mind the Worst team in NA and EU ) Fnatic 40% the team they once were, and Origen a team that can't make up their mind on who should play for Mid a guy who proved he is great or a up a coming Star that might lose games because he isn't there yet. Like Origen is a Sports team that wants to " rebuild" around P.O.E but when they lose its a shock to them.

Europe was represented poorly by G2 but as a region Eu can say at least they won Worlds and last year made it further than NA ever has at Worlds so EU has that. However the past is the past and NA are rising to become Great or ( Once again Great ?)
