For the love of Gawd, could you please filter out the Chinese caster who for some insane reason is allowed to be put on loudspeakers in the arena? Having him whisper his nonsense into my left speaker is literally making it impossible for me to stand watching the VODs. It screws royally with my brain or something.
He is allowed to scream through loudspeakers because he is casting for the live audience.
I totally agree it would be GREAT to have him filtered out.
The only way to "filter" him out would be if the american/eu casters werent in the same room. Which is not going to happen so your just gonna kinda have to deal with it.
Or I could not watch. That is an option too. And I know I am not alone in this - just watch the comment sections on the VODs on YouTube.
Soundproof booths are a thing for a reason.
That being said, it does kinda give a "live action" feeling to it hearing the audience cheer/chant as well (something that wouldn't be possible if the casters were in soundproof booths). I'm personally fine with it, as I watch the games for the actual action and could/have watched LCS without sound (specifically the orange league, as much of it is in untranslatable spanish).
ModPrandine9/24/2017, 3:15:53 PMKeep in mind that they're in a live venue, and while they could do better at filtering the chinese casters out I fail to see how hearing them speak at a lower volume then the English casters makes the vods unbearable to watch (it could be worse after all but I just don't think it's as bad as you're making it out to be honestly), but that's just me.
