Does this IEM tournament feel out of place?

It feels like a pre Mid Season Invitational that doesn't have the best teams. The production quality is not great at all. There is no storyline.

It's not league-centric, so they're a little more...spread out. I know what you mean though.

I have never, and will never understand why people want a god damn "storyline" in their sports.

IEM has been around before LCS so honestly if anything is "out of place" it would be MSI, but why complain about MORE international competition? Do you want to always watch the same 10 team (or 8 or whatever region you fancy).

Also, why the hell does there need to be a "Storyline" for competitive eSports? Sit back, watch the games (if that is your scene) and enjoy.

IEM provides the setting and the access. They do not provide all of the production gear, stages, casters etc. So quality is not really on ESL, entirely.
