Worlds Format Suggestion - Add 12 More Games Between Group Stages and Quarter Finals

Currently: After groups, teams go straight to quarter final matches. The problem is that, bad luck may result the elimination of 2nd best team before Grand Final.

Suggestion: After groups, the 4 group winners play each other once (min. 6 games) to determine 1st to 4th seeding. The 4 group 2nd place finishers also play each other once (min. 6 more games) to determine 5th to 8th seeding.

So quarter final matches would be:

1 vs 8 4 vs 5

2 vs 7 3 vs 6
