@Riot Save the big changes for AFTER worlds

Riot has always forced big changes right before worlds and this year was no exception, remember last year when changes to Alistar near to worlds resulted in him suddenly becoming a massive pick screwing everthing? what about the year before with the Trinity force and Corki changes making him shoot up to pick or ban? or how about this year with a Fiora rework AND the juggernauts right on the cusp of worlds?

Riot needs to save the big changes and the big reworks to AFTER the worlds patch, all it does is skewer the championship, pretty much 2 of the 3 bans each team have isn't about "Oh we need to ban out this players champion" but "Oh we need to ban out this champion because its too strong"

Seriously this Juggernaut crap should of been a Pre-season thing not a "2 patches before worlds" thing

For proclaiming "Oh we won't do something like we did in Season 3 to Corki ever again" they sure have done something like they did with Season 3 Corki again.

You do know that worlds is playing on a older version of League right? Like 5.18, there is no aggro bars on the jungle camps etc.

I dont see anything wrong, I mean, last season basketball changed to an oval ball a day before the playoffs.

I agree with you 100% though, how does any serious esports proponent expect large audiences (league players aside) from embracing esports seriously when Riot can pull shit like this every season.

This will be the last season I watch Riot controlled esports. I'm going to stick to Smash.

It depends on the context.

If it's done the patch on/before worlds, it's not okay. Teams don't have time to prepare for strategies that might come up based around those kinds of characters.

Increase that patch difference to 2-3 patches and it becomes reasonable to do those kinds of changes because players have time to prepare and Riot has at least 1-2 patches to balance anything that breaks the game. If anything, it shakes up the game enough that players need to develop new strategies, but still gives players enough time to adapt to new strategies.

They said they wouldn't do something like they did with Season 3 Corki ever again, and so far they have kept that promise.

I see it as this. We are expected to adjust to the changes on day one of the patch. These are professionals, this is their life. If they cannot adapt to a patch in time then maybe they don't deserve that title.
