Stereotypical NA Fans

What I've seen over the past 3 weeks completely baffles me. I've never seen a more hateful group of people.

From the start EU has been trash talked, to the point some of the EU players had to suffer personal attacks for the bad plays they made. I lost count of how often I've seen Rekkles made fun of. This only got worse as we got into Quarterfinals. Once we hit week 2 of Worlds, this spite from NA fans even started to hit their own teams. First when IMT got eliminated, and again when it was TSM's turn. Immediately the pitchforks came out and NA fans went on a relentless witchhunt against their own region's players. NA players were ridiculed over and over, and fans called out for the retirement of staff members, players and teams in general.

Now that C9 has lost to WE, the boards is flooding with pathetic excuses. I can't believe people seriously think the games are scripted, that C9 lost on purpose. Yes they had a bad draft in game 5, as did WE in game 2 and 3. Just accept that C9 got outplayed by WE, they were the better team on this day. Leave your conspiracy theories for USA's home affairs.

This all reminds me of last years Worlds, when SSG got boo'd at when they went up against C9 in the quarterfinals. Absolutely disgusting. Show some respect to your opponents, and to your own teams. Worlds will be a much more pleasant experience for everyone. Every team is doing their best to win. Yes, teams may underperform on a given day, but that's no reason to spite them.

Are you done, NA?

Disclaimer: I am in no trying to say all NA fans behave like this, just the stereotypical ones. I've seen multiple NA players behave exceptionally, showing great respect to opponents and praising them. Props to you.

Scripted or paid off, no way

We have seen teams get caught by that. I don’t think C9 would do that

But I do think that the LPL teams have all been winning off the ADC meta draft pick. Even Korean seems to have an issue with it.

When the other western teams lost I was like "sigh they suck maybe next year"

When C9 drafted like that I was like "they wanted to lose."

  1. If you think SSG got booed, well you have never heard NA fans genuinely boo anyone.    A genuine boo is very loud. usually long, and is unmistakable.    Oh and you EU types whistle instead of boo but it pretty much means the same thing.  So Glass houses.  

  2. EU does more trash talking and misbehaving than any other region.    The list of Toxic EU pros is a long one.   Svenskeren, Flaxxish, Nukeduck, mithy, Jensen,  ForG1ven   just to name a few.   All Legends of Toxicity and racism.  Yeah some of them are in NA now.  But their Missbehavior occurred while they were in EU and that is where they are from.   And point blank, as bad as racism is here in the states, it is far worse in some corners of Europe.

Sorry. But when the players from your continent are using the N word in chat, Ddossing people, making up screen names like Taipai (chinese racial slur) well you have nothing to say. Glass houses again.

  1. I saw very little spite against IMT. Riot took it on the chin more than IMT because it was quickly learned afterwards that IMT had been rejected. I saw a lot against TSM. Well deserved. As for Rekkles, where have you been? Many of us felt sorry for him the second time he messed up. As for the first time, well given the trash he talked what did you expect?

  2. As for excuse making EU is legendary for it. Oh they went on vacation and didn't practice. HAHAHAHA!!! Still a classic. Glass houses a third time.

This sounds like any fan of any team/region of any sport/esport. Heckling when you win and coming up with excuses when you lose is all part of the fun from being a fan.

That game 5 draft was shameful. If they took galio in the first round I wouldnt have a problem but they gave WE the best team available. They should be ashamed. C9 is the only NA I've ever enjoyed watching until now but why care about a team that does nothing but choke when it counts?
