Why is Cloud9 Hai still playing? (Not a hate thread)
How's his wrist injury btw? Did it get fully healed?
And what was his reason for going Support this year?

He is still playing because his shot-calling is the only reason C9 was ever good. When he left, they tanked.
And he is playing support because it's less intense. One would assume his wrists are okay, for now... Not sure how long it'll last.
To add onto what others have said, he's training Bunnyfufuu (I think), who's already a good shot caller, to replace him eventually.
Because he is an excellent shot caller.
After the time he spent off in between the end of S5 Spring and the moment towards the end of Summer when he had to return back to save C9 and lead them to the Regional + World run, he had quite some time to rest, so his wrist injury got better
The true and most important reason, the wrist injury was real, but was also a way to gracefully justify his stepping down from mid lane because he was honestly becoming too bad in mid lane to keep him there just for the shotcalling reasons. All the mid laners as bad as him number wise in Spring Split were relegated, replaced or forced to change role in Summer and replaced by better players Hai could have probably played a last split in mid lane to close his career in S5 with the C9 historic line-up, but he didn't deserve for his great career to exit the pro scene looking like a washed up player, so C9 management together with Hai decided to use the wrist injury reason (wrist pains that was real, eh) to explain his premature retire...and then he was almost forced to get back to help his mates that were in huge troubles
