Before you say "Dyrus sucks, retire"...

Consider Santorin's activity during all five games:

There is none. Santorin was never there to protect Dyrus from being three man turret dived (Which is NOT Dyrus's fault if the jungler is just farming for the first 15 minutes or preforming a poorly executed gank on the other side of the map, _or _ against a lane that shouldn't be ganked. (Looking back to the SKT bot lane gank against an Urgot and Nautilus)

I understand you're supposed to farm, but TSM's losses belong to Santorin, not Dyrus. Stop treating Dyrus like he's shit, because it isn't his fault.

that and dyrus has a weird / missused lane they leave him on an island by himself and help the other lanes thats always been this way the focus adc and mid to get them/ the jungle fed if they do it right they have done very well but Dyrus has suffered so much because of it they say it all the time if you watch the lcs i think he needs a new team that is going to use the real carry factor dyrus could play if hes fed

As a long time TSM fan I have to agree that Santorin has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the mid season invitational. However, it is infuriating watching Dyrus push to the other team's tower and give up first blood almost every game.

Actually, it is Dyrus's fault. He should've warded more and then backed off the tower once he saw that they were coming.

At least, according to most of the community. I mean, whenever a laner complains about the jungler, that's pretty much what they say.

This isn't solely the fault of Santorin or Dyrus. ALL of them are weak internationally. They come from a weak region with only a single style of play. NA has been the passive farm and rotation region since season 3. It is a weak style of play and is heavily outdated. Dyrus, Santorin and Turtle are all passive/reactive players which makes them weak. Aggression has been and always will be the best style of play since if no mistakes are made then defense can't capitalize on them. If NA wants to improve as a region and TSM specifically as a team then they need to step up their game and start making moves rather than reacting to them. C9 used to beat TSM due to their aggression. CLG usually does well early in splits because they find a new style of aggression until it gets countered and they fail to adapt and improve the aggression. One last thing I have noticed in the NA region is that when a plan doesn't go as planned ALL NA teams revert to the passive/reactive style until they either bleed out from objective loss or just make risky bad moves.

TSM just likes to learn the style of aggression and counter it rather then come up with aggression of their own. If you really want to put blame on someone for the teams mistakes, it would be Locodoco. He is from the international scene and has studied and played against the Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese styles of aggression but has yet to teach his players how to play like that. He needs to step up as a coach and help morph TSM into a team that has their own flavor of play that doesn't require either a lv1 rotation cheese or waiting to capitalize on the aggression of the other team.

Can't they both retire?

Dyrus needs to keep better vision and learn to leave lane more. So, just in that respect alone its his fault and he needs to retire. A lot of his deaths are avoidable. And of course Santorin has been horrible at supporting him. They just played horrendously at this event.
