Direction and Future Plans and Disclaimers

With school over I have a summer to waste and posts I plan to make. Here are some topics I hope to talk about this summer. I will also list the scenarios required for each post to happen.

If Flyquest continues to struggle I might post something regarding their underachieving. If they prove me wrong in the later weeks and make the playoffs I will revisit them.

If another team collapses and miss the playoffs I will explain the causes of their collapse.

I might even point out teams that are struggling in other regions.

If a team loses a game that they should have had in the bag but lost due to greediness or constant overextending I will tend to do a sarcastic congrats post. The other scenario would be if a team chokes away a dominant playoff series lead cough C9 cough TSM.

A preview of the playoffs and finals once the regular season ends.

As for disclaimers, I didn't take into account how people would perceive my sense of humor. The main direction I looking to take in my posts is to do semi-informative posts that both casual and analytical esport spectators can enjoy along with some memes and laughs. I going to get some things wrong and make mistakes, that's inevitable, but, I don't want that to define who I am

For the record, I'm not trying to put all the blame onto the players as each player puts their nose to the grindstone day and night to perfect their craft. I try to acknowledge when someone is playing like a god. However, I notice that a lot of teams lose due to fundamental mistakes, like getting too cute around baron or getting too greedy around the enemy base.

For example, when Optic faced Liquid this past week, Optic tried to rush baron knowing that Xmithie was in range to go over the wall and steal. Considering Xmithie's reputation there are two options, either chain stun Xmithie to secure baron, or stop baron and turn on TL. To their credit, they tried option 1 but executed that plan poorly as they mistimed their cc and allowed Xmithie to sneak in a smite. From my perspective, the steal felt inevitable despite how fast Optic was shredding baron. The worst part was that Optic could have disengaged the baron as TL were all on the other side of the wall though I respect them for going for a gutsy call. What I'm trying to say is that my problem with that call was that they did it in spite of who they were facing. In this case Xmithie. To add insult to injury Crown decided to 1v2 the carries and made the situation worse.

When I usually refer to suffocating, it means that a team is dominating and methodically picking apart their opponent. It's usually done through precise vision control and oppressive macro; securing objectives like towers, dragon, and baron with nothing the opposition can do. This minimizes bloodshed as even desperate engages can be seen coming a mile away thanks to the vision control and even if a fight breaks out, their objective control means that they have more gold and combat power to win decisively.
