So why is TSM representing NA instead of IMT?
Just curious as to how this came to be. How were the teams decided?

They were invited by Intel.

It's not representative, it's just who wants to go and gets accepted.
TSM won the IEM Katowice tournament in 2015
They sign up for the tournament .....
its iem... as bad as this may sounds, this tournament says nothing. no region brought in their best teams, whoever wins this means nothing.
Yep, they were invited and accepted. The rankings and split mean nothing here. It's all about squeezing the forced Intel product plugs during the casting. (Not that I think this is bad, its actually been entertaining!)
