You're absolutely right. You wanna know the logical solution?

Ranked (the mode that's supposed to be competitive and fair to all players so you can set goals and get the rank you deserve and see how you stack up against everyone else on an EVEN playing field) should be SOLO QUEUE ONLY. No duos, none of this Dynamic bullshit, just you and your OWN skill.

Normals (the mode that's for FUN, the one people don't grind their fucking brains out over trying to climb, where you should go when you want to play with your friends and have a good time) should be DYNAMIC QUEUE.

HOW IS THAT SO HARD?

The logical solution would be to just have both queues and let nature run its course. The better suited one will survive. The problem is we all know that it's solo queue and Riot is too desperate to see dynamic queue be their pride and joy.

But the new dynamic queue will be an improvement over the old ranked teams queue. You're not limited to a team of 9 players in order to place. And solo queue stealing all the solo players will killed 4 man premades, but 2 and 3 mans will still be able to play. The only downfall is dynamic queue will have rank requirements for the friends you can play with compared to the old ranked teams.

TBH I think there is a way to make them co-exist. Make que available as 1,2,3 and 5 but not 4. Match 10x1, 2+3 VS 2+3 and 5 VS 5.

Lets totally ignore the fact, that rank in league of legends has never had a pure solo q. Do not let the facts get in the way of raise your pitch forks.
