So I've noticed it's something she has every now and then and I can't help but be curious, is she faking the accent? Or is she just good at covering it up sometimes? Just curiosity :)

For a lot of people with more minor accents(like hers) the accent's strength will vary based off of how foreign the dialogue they're saying is. If they're saying something that is the sort of thing they would've said while being raised, then their accent tends to be stronger... but if they're saying local jargon for another region, or technical speak for something they had no experience with while they were living at home, their accent tends to not come through as strongly.
I imagine this is partially what is causing what you're seeing.
