If Ahri has a 57% winrate with pro players, what's stopping her from getting played in competitive?
Usually high winrate with pro players > getting played in Worlds
Usually high winrate with pro players > getting played in Worlds
She has shown up at worlds for a few games.
She doesn't have what it takes , they usually pick something that has so much cc and/or dps Even The overnerfed Ryze gets picked over and over They did pick her few times but everytime they did , she felt out of place whether her team won or lost , she doesn't doesn't fit their team play style
I mean , the same site , Veiger has the same winrate as her with a bigger sample , but they will never pick him
A "winrate with pro players" is different from a champ's winrate with pro teams in competition. Winrate statistics on most build sites are pulled from ranked soloqueue. Pros don't play soloqueue the same way that they scrim or compete with their full teams.
Picks in competitive games are often strategic, specific to a team comp or as a counterpick. Just because a champ has a high winrate doesn't mean it's the best choice for a specific game. Even high winrate champs have counters which make them risky picks.
