With all of this G2 C9 and FNC hype, Invictus stands strong.

Invictus Gaming is sort of like the dark horse to me in China. For years, I have been a fan of them, but they were a mediocre team in the LPL. in the spring / summer split of 2017 though, they showed a lot of promise. They defeated team WE in the playoffs in the best of 5 going 3-2, but lost 2-3 as WE ended up being the LPL's Worlds 2017 3rd seed. 2018. Spring split: 18-1. They did amazing, especially their star jungler, Kid. Then he retired sadly. They did not make it to MSI, unfortunately. 2018, Summer split: 18-1 again! They have finally done it, making to worlds as the 2nd seed. In the playoffs finals, they faced off against RNG, losing 2-3. They have become the 2nd best team in the LPL, in the best time to do so: When China was looking stronger than Korea. Worlds group. Besides their 2 wins, one of which being the 1st seed tiebreaker, and both being against FNC, IG have been doing great. They then did the impossible. They ruined everybody's Pick em's. They defeated KT in convincing fashion. They won game 1 and 2 with ease, and lost game 3 by a few basic attacks of the nexus. They won 3-2. As the only eastern team in the semifinals, they stand strong. I believe that this version of IG, with this newfound strength they have acquired, They totally could have beat RNG 3--2 or even 3-1. G2 somehow defeated RNG, but I still think IG is stronger.

With all of this western hype, Invictus stands strong. for the first time since 2011, there will be a finals without a Korea vs Korea battle, and with an western team.

By the way I said in my pick ems that the finals would be IG vs Cloud 9 (i got the other two quarterfinals wrong though so)
