Lol Piglet, might want to stick to ADC... 300 cs to 180 cs... unfortunate.
LOL TL 10th so bad
LOL TL 10th so bad
Piglet has been off and even I would give/gave Piglet his day blame but it's not just him. Lourlo is pretty much useless each and every game, yeah he gets a nice KDA star but who cares when you can't even win games from those stats. Matt has to be the worst lane support that i'v seen in some time. I can't remember the last time where he actually looked good pre 15 or just in game alone, as well as a new adc for him to learn with. Overall tho Team Liquid is much better than record wise but it is obvious the team in general is bad.

Lol what, Lourlo hard carried G2 together with Reignover. He is wildly inconsistent in actually being able to get the leader because he is hit or miss, but when he get rolling (and he get some help) he can carry. Piglet problem is still the same, he is supposed to carry since he take an import slot but he is not doing it so. He can carry a bit more from the mid position than what he has done ad ADC in the actual meta, and he has done some better after role swap, but is still not nearly about what is required to for having a bottom tier NA resident like Youngbin at ADC because he can't compete with the top mids Honestly Youngbin at ADC has been even worse so far than Goldenglue at mid, so the sum of values for TL has not grown a lot
"G2" ? Am I missing something ?
Lourlo is consistent but he's average at best, he's gotten much better since his first split in the LCS but he's not a great top. Now he's a great overall player in multiple areas like a "trick of all trades" or something like that but he doesn't perfect or known for anything.
The thing that annoyed me even tho TL won I believe most of their games with the comps that they wanted was those whole ADC position being a 2 champion pool only and not being the quote on quote "hyper carry" champions like Tristan, Jinx etc but more around scaling champions and TL picked Ezreal and Ryze 2 late game champions ?
A team that loses games 10th - around 30 mins per game and can't even survive the lane phase picks up champions that takes 35-40 mins to scale up and survive. That annoyed me cause of the notion about Goldenglue not being useful and doing 0 damage and Piglet wanting to play carries and instead they pick these slow scaling champions?

See, for me the problem with Lourlo (and many of these "mid-tier" players) is that they lack any sort of memorable game that stands out to the casual audience. If someone wants to know how good jensen is, they can look up "that ori game". If someone wants to know how good fenix can be, they can look up "that azir game". While he's had a few decent (and sorta assisted) performances, he has never truly had a "that" game which shows off how great he can be. Because of this, he'll probably never be as good as impact/ray and will at best be temporarily tied with the barely-speaking-english korean imports that seem to be streaming into NA toplanes now.

Yeah, the last series vs EF where Lourlo and Reignover hard carried the team in the Game 2 comeback with his flank plays (@Mye, if that is not classifiable as a memorable game for him then you got pretty High standards)
Lourlo problem is that he can't keep this level so consistently, he is having multiple mediocre to average games for every pretty good game he has. He improved a lot because right now he rarely blatantly feed representing the reason why his team lose like he used to do, but he hasn't gotten yet to a level where you can reliably think of him winning his lane match-up
Indeed, he's a great player in his own right but like you said he has no "that" or "IT" champion, game, style for anyone to really notice.
Hell, he's like in top 2 in least deaths per game I believe which is amazing but when you are 2nd among players in least amounts of deaths but around 7th in kills as well as assists compared to the other tops, while getting a good chunk of gold from your team and you can't do as much as say Hauntzer, Impact or even Darshan(who's having a meh split so far) that tends to be a problem.
I know TL had their ? and problems but the top lane has been the focus point in the meta for some time now and he still hasn't built much of a reputation or game to be known for.

The top lane has been the focus in like the first 3 weeks, then it has shifted heavily on mid lane after 7.3 patch where Camille and Jayce got nerfed and there was only Maokai as power pick left in top around of the start of the season trio (and he got then nerfed in 7.4)
Lourlo is not great, but is not subpar in DMG% numbers compared to Gold SHare compared to the other NA LCS top laners

Except for Ssumday, Hauntzer, Impact and Darshan (and the last one has an asterisk on him because of his peculiar style and champ pool), the other have all dealt few damage compared to the amount of gold received.
I might be reading this wrong but he is 3rd in Gold % for his team but is 7th in Damage % among other tops. His lane phase is meh considering he's down -5.6 cs at around 10 mins which isn't bad but does need to improve as he's next to last in this.
His CS per min (5th) is actually really good considering players like Ssumday, Seraph and Flame does nothing but split pushes all game so they will have high CS per min.
If I had to mix Lourlo with another to make both teams strong I would switch him with Seraph/NV. Maybe it doesn't make much sense but I do think Lourlo is an excellent player if the game goes around 40+ mins and Seraph is a player that will die constantly but is lane minded in a sense to just push- push - push. He will also listen to Reignover and Piglet as Seraph may be meh as a player for about 4 years now but he does put team before self. Lourlo would be good with NV because like most of the players on NV they are decent early but need help late game something I do think Lourlo can do well on. Lourlo is like 9 wins out of 20 total 40+ min games in his career, he's won 6 40+ min games in this split alone while losing 5 40+ min games so the improvement on knowing and producing late game for Lourlo is there but with TL they're just not getting to the late game, they were at the start of the split but now they aren't.

Yeah, but top laners in general are just not converting gold into straight damage. That's not only Lourlo thing, in general barring few exceptions mentioned above, Gold is going into tank stats to aid the team (think of immortals Nautilus tanking 31 tower shots and Maokai) Lourlo is not excelling in that but he isn't being too subpar in that
In addition to that, his Gold Share numbers are skewed upwards because GoldenGlue was the midlaner with the lowest Gold share in the entire league (except for Alex Ich subbing in for NV when LirA had visa issues at the start of the split, but that was a peculiar situation because it wasn't team choice to play mid while putting a non jungler like Ninja in jungle struggling a ton- P.S. I never understood why in that situation they didn't go for Alex jungle and Ninja mid, tbh - ), so his Gold Share numbers are higher than what they should be if he had an at least average mid laner (and Piglet is not going to be at the top of the charts in farming by the way)
If I had to mix Lourlo with another to make both teams strong I would switch him with Seraph/NV. Honestly they would both be worse swapping. TL can't go for an early dominant strategy of winning every lane and translate it to late game with Seraph because they have always a losing lane either in mid or bot with GG or Youngbin/Matt, and Seraph is bad late game so they would be crippling theirself reducing even further their win conditions NV right now is bad at late game, but at least have a clear strength in early when all the lanes are average to above average + they have a very good early game pressure jungler and with the swap they would lose the only strength they actually have as Lourlo isn't a terrible but is a below average laner. They should aim fix their post 15 min shotcalling (for how much is possible given a player like seraph will never be good at that), especially control of the first drake which is generally the moment when NV start losing their momentum and start to deteriorate their lead and their overall level of play
Yeah, that's the thing about NV from this year and last who is their leader, shotcaller ? There just isn't an exp player on that team or to have the ability to be the leader.
Seraph is pretty bad late game, but you could replace him with a mop and the mop would outperform him.
Where's the rest of his week? Also considering that this was his first week in the role. And Envy's game hasn't happened yet. So even your discussion text is wrong for now.
His first game was against immortals aa very hit or miss team this year. Im not flaming them as you can see my icon im a fan jyst being real about it. On the same token pliglet adc wasnt much better because there still either 10 or tied for 9th which puts them at the bottom.
