I don't watch eSports but judging from the posts, I assume people were rude at the event. No matter who you're rooting for, booing and being rude to the other teams is unacceptable! Imagine being up on that stage in front of all those people and suddenly having tons of people booing at you! I don't know what the pressure on the teams are, but I assume it's large.
This is basically what went down: People cheered for C9 as the last remaining NA team at worlds (IE The Home team) vs Samsung and booed Samsung (IE the away team).
What you're seeing are people getting really triggered by this for no reason. It's just part of not just American, but global sports culture. People say "we want Esports to be recognized as a sport" and then as soon as an aspect from traditional sports comes into play "this is horrible"
