It's time for a NEW Empire
If G2 didn't have Caps I would have less confident in G2 only because I dislike overconfident teams.
It's a real toss up between Cloud 9 and Griffin making it out of Groups with G2 potentially being #1 in the group. I personally like to find hidden secrets or hidden meanings to things and the world song " Phoenix" sorta has that ' Rise Griffin! Rise' ring to it and Griffin could come back from the brink of failure 2018 Summer Finals, 2019 Spring Finals and 2019 Summer Finals to become the best performing LCK team at Worlds.
I want Cloud 9 to make it out of Groups for NA because if it isn't Cloud 9 it's no NA team making it out for the past 3 years. However, without any bias and a funny feeling that "Phoenix" the 2019 World song is a song about Griffin - Griffin will rise from 2nd place finish(3 splits in a row) and become the next....Empire
Paid in Blood
While Group B looks to less competitive and all we gotta remember that these teams can all take games off each other - YES, even Funplus Phoenix aren't excluded. Remember 2016( EDG vs H2K vs AHQ vs INTZ) and how that group compared to the other groups didn't look competitive but within the group it was? It featured a tie-breaker, an upset and 7 40+ min games. I also think this group will be a blood bath in which games will have over 25+ kills per game. And no, I don't think FPX will go undefeated- 6-0 in groups( no team will)
Disappointing
Group C looks to be competitive, fun to watch and overall a great group of DEATH!! but expectations must be lowered because I personally don't think Group C's games will be fun to watch. Its' like when SSG, RNG and TSM were in the same group in 2016 the games were...meh with the exception of SSG vs TSM #2 and Splyce vs SSG #1. I don't think every game will be garbage for example, I personally can't wait for Fnatic vs SKT in the last day of Groups and RNG vs CG but overall I do think many of the games will be stomps.
Will SKT do SKT things and just dominate groups..... more than likely will.
Will Clutch play spoiler for a top tier team or even make it out of groups?......probably not
And this is it for UZI and RNG!
I know it's a tough group and overall UZI tends to match up with tough teams in either the group stage or bracket stage but this is it for him if he's not able to make it back to Finals or wins the championship this year.....he'll more than likely won't ever do such.
Mirror matchup
Team Liquid in Spring were this slow paced team that only cared about dragons and Damwon Gaming are now this slow paced team that only cares about dragons. Damwon Gaming in Spring were aggressive, and the kill leaders in the LCK very similar to Invictus Gaming in general and how Team Liquid plays now. Either way you slice it - TL-IG and DWG are all very similar to each other in some unique way. AHQ may very well go 0-6 but who knows.
Overall, I have no idea who's making it out of groups and that's actually fun [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
