EU Challenger might be the most entertaining "league" to watch this year

After watching the EUCS matches this morning (at 7am PST, right before the na broadcasts), a ton of stuff caught my eye that kinda makes me think this could be a pretty fun thing to watch. We had a perfect game to start out the day (S04 looking like an absolute juggernaut), a ridiculously close series to end the day (in which two teams were basically tied for the majority of both games, with misfit's sister team barely eeking out wins in them), and there was a ridiculous amount of character diversity (kennen/mf both seeing use as flex picks. Most importantly though, was how even all of the teams (barring kinguin, my allegiance this year is to but one bird) looked. PSG, a team who many thought was the C9 of this league, looked not only mortal but sometimes worse than most NA challenger teams (with blanc/pilot getting caught out quite a bit). Misfit's sister team, one that I expected to finish 5th/6th along with kinguin, blew away many peoples' expectations of them and looked quite decent. Even millenium looked pretty good despite losing both games and having a somewhat "odd" roster.

Overall, the EUCS looks to not only be closer than many of the other professional leagues, but also brings the added bonus of a certain sense of "purity". While most western teams try to bring in high-end imports, barring PSG (who lost their series) it's pretty much all EU talent. Also, Pulse is casting chinese games now so the threat of him "ruining" a stream (never understood why people hated him so much, I actually found him somewhat entertaining even if his references only "clicked" with the 8-yr old anime audience) is kinda gone.
