Just finished uninstalling, here's why
As someone who played since the middle of season 5 (around the time C9 made their fabled "change"), I have finally decided to focus on something else. While many would potentially try to blame things such as the patches, or the sheer lack of true customization (take mastery page a for the best efficiency), my rationale comes off something different all together.
About a week ago, I decided to focus my attention towards a certain semi-popular steam game. Because I still wanted to sorta play league, I'd typically do 1-2 games of league per day followed by about 4 hours of the other one. Because I didn't really care for the whole ranked experience, I'd often do normals and would end up playing solo/fill quite often. Every game, I'd end up with a person who decided that it was their turn to make life difficult for everyone else in the game by either insta-locking a troll pick and/or massively flaming the team when they died. Every game, it felt entirely unwinnable up until the inevitable 32min loss (not being able to forfeit because the rest of the team decided that, they too, didn't want to participate in a potentially funner game). My final game was much the same, with our lee sin jungler getting flamed once by our trist, only for him to then completely ignore all team interaction and die repeatedly while farming enemy jungle camps. Mid tower slowly dying? Lee sin is farming the nearby raptors. Enemy team is 5-manning toplane inhib? Lee sin is farming enemy krugs while spamming his laugh emote. On and on it continued, until the game ended via ff because noone else could kill anyone. While I doubt I'll never get the urge to reinstall this game, the fact this game has hit such a low point is rather depressing, with many of the games I saw rarely being decided by skill and more about which team has chosen to self-sabotage itself less. Hopefully one day all shall be solved, so that it doesn't just turn into a "phase game" like warcraft and soon to be overwatch.
