Flyquest's playoff win gives us some hope now...

The year is 2015. C9, after making an improbable run just to avoid relegation somehow make the gauntlet off of points they acquired in spring. After starting their first match against what was a heavily red-side-favored gravity (featuring players who would mostly transition back onto NALCS teams) down 2-0, they make a miraculous reverse sweep and win the series 3-2. In their second series, they face what was arguably a far-weaker TIP which after the mid-lane rito ban for boosting/trying to sell an account, started gate as their mid. Down 2-0 again, they somehow reverse sweep off the back of a massive carry performance from incarnation.

-Ignoring finals against TL, even though it does kinda start the beginning of their current turmoil with them being one of only two teams to have a first-place and sub-8th place finish in their LCS history, alongside SK gaming-

Flyquest, having 3/5ths of that exact same roster, has again reverse swept a team in what is essentially a "gauntlet" scenario. Although the chance is heavily unlikely (they'd need to beat TSM to do so), the chance still exists for them to do the same AGAINST the very same C9 franchise that did so. Stuff like this is what makes the LCS exciting, as C9's history is almost entirely being displayed in the playoffs.

I just want to add, i think the crushing defeat that C9 dealt to TL back in 2015 still haunts them to this day. Sure, it was mostly a different team but it follows the brand. I don't think the brand ever recovered from that.

Also, TSM is most likely going to win vs Fly. The reason is mostly that Bjerg can also shot call while playing mechanically better than Hai. Hai normally loses mid but can shotcall better than any other mid. With TSM, he will be losing lane, top, and only bot may go even. They literally have to win shotcalling while losing most lanes.

Not gonna be easy.
