Hey, everyone! I'm Riot King Cobra and it's time for another round of Patch Chat! These threads serve as opportunity for us to talk about the patches that come out every two weeks. You can find the most recent patch by following this link: Patch 7.21 Notes.

I'm a QA Analyst on Riot's Playtest Team, a group of high elo players who play with the new champions, reworks, balance tweaks, items, and map updates before they are released. It's our job to the test the changes that our designers come up with and ensure that we're introducing positive changes to League in terms of both balance and fun.

It's the last patch before preseason! As such, this patch is smaller than normal and features a slight tweaks to a number of champions. We're making adjustments to Galio, Sejuani, Rammus, Udyr, Urgot, and more. Additionally, we're knocking Ardent Censer down a peg and helping out Frozen Heart and Tear of the Goddess. Ask us questions about the patch, or anything else you're interested for that matter. We'd love to talk with you guys. :)

Hi folks. I'm interested in hearing your opinion of Rengar and his current state (since rework). Be honest - Please.

This champion is who I love, so it deeply saddens me to hear no talk of Rengar and his state from any Rioter.

Do you ever play him? If you do, do you enjoy him? For me, it's not about him being weak or strong, but rather that his kit feels clunky. Anyhow, just curious if anyone on the team agrees, disagrees, or if you care at all.

What changed that made / allowed you guys to post so much more in the patch chat 7.20 compared to the other previous patch chats?

I just wanted to say I'm happy about the increased ratios on Galio, I mained him before the rework and haven't touched him since because he wasn't the damage dealing gargoyle I was looking for. But now, oooooh now, these were the changes I've been waiting for.

So Since ardent has been nerfed, does this mean the mage supports will be able to come back and not be a complete hindrance to their teams?
These past few patches have been really really harsh on Zyra, she struggles in the midlane so she was forced botlane then she got pushed out of botlane by the enchanting supports. Basically im a Zyra main hoping i can pick her again without feeling like im just making the game harder for my team. (although im super hopeful for some Zyra changes to buff up her midlane a bit without touching her supporting too much)

Did any of you read the reddit post regarding arcane comet rune .. if the answer is yes what are your thoughts on it ?

Is there a possibility of increasing Azir's Q AP Ratio to compensate for the missing base damage? Lowering his Q ratio really took away from his fantasy of being a late game hyper carry.

I personally feel like Xin benefited a lot more from his update than Azir but that Azir is being nerfed due to longstanding negative connotations that people seem to have with him when he does manage to find success.

Also do you think nerfing Ardent again was the move? I dont like enchanters and their minimal counterplay but Redemption already got nerfed as first item, if Ardent isnt viable either.. what do they get? I still think adc items are too cheap and spike too early tbh.

have you guys thought of deleting maw and sticking hexdrinker on edge of night?
will we soon see anymore details about this new champion? I'm dying!
in season 8 do you think assassins will see their burst speeds back?

Have you considered a potential emergency scenario where you would have to revert runes reforged further down the line? What are your backup measures in case something absolutely game-breaking happened that would force the new runes to be taken out of action for several days or even weeks?
