Hey, everyone! I'm Riot King Cobra and it's time for another round of Patch Chat! These threads serve as opportunity for us to talk about the patches that come out every two weeks. You can find the most recent patch by following this link: Patch 7.19 Notes.

I'm on Riot's Playtest Team, a group of high elo players who play with the new champions, reworks, balance tweaks, items, and map updates before they are released. It's our job to the test the changes that our designers come up with and ensure that we're introducing positive changes to League in terms of both balance and fun.

7.19 premiers the updated Azir and Xin Zhao! We've also changed Aatrox, Caitlyn, Janna, Malphite, Orianna, Ornn, Vayne, and Veigar! We finally nerfed Ardent Censer and Bramble Vest and adjusted a few other items as well. Ask us questions about the patch, or anything else you're interested for that matter. We playtest based on changes incoming to the game; so regularly playtesting Zyra mid isn't something we'd be doing unless she was receiving balance changes.

Who will playtest Zyra mid for the rune patch to gauge the impact of losing 20-26 mpen? By my estimates, she will be losing 10-20% of her damage at all stages of the game.

Also, plants cannot proc Comet, Aerie, or stack Electrocute.

These are the kinds of nerfs that would be tested, right?

How does Janna feel with the new changes? I feel like it fits a little bit with the title of "The Storm's Fury" now, but I was wondering your thoughts when testing her. Also, how does the new Ardent feel with also giving the support the buff?

Will Riot be willing to do follow up work on Orianna if her changes to dissonance and shockwave end up causing her playstyle and reliability to dive off a cliff again?

Hey guys I wanted ask about new Eve, what are some builds, maxing orders and runes, both new and old that you guys taking on her. On a side note do you guys think its a bit harder to playtest things and gouge power levels with new runes even tho stuff ships live with the current system. And can I get the team's thoughts on that flash ult by Cobra on stream

Do u have any good news for Volibear T_T? And one question I'm asking, why u don't have a one PBE server for Europe? I want to test things but the ping makes it difficult for us to test

What do you guys think about some adc's buying relic shield? And do you guys have anything planned for Bard? He kinda feels underwhelming right now.

We have various Runes that trigger from CC, but they all seem to have subtly different conditions.

  • Cheap Shot works with everything, including Slows and Silenced
  • Aftershock works from "immobilizing CC", so neither Slow nor Silenced
  • Font of Life works from "impaired movements", so it works with Slows, but not with Silenced.
  • Approach Velocity just says "CC", so I suppose it works with everything, but not on everyone: you need to be the source of the CC, or it needs to be an allied champion.

Do you have any insight on why those different rules, and wouldn't it be possible to harmonize a bit everything?

So far in the Aatrox rework, are there any unique changes that have been made that have not worked out? Is there anything that redefines who he is as a champion, or how he plays?

Is Udyr one of the champions that had the update that stopped or is it just postponed at the moment? and would it be before Preseason? during or after? Can we just get a game breaking buff on him before the season ends lmao jk
