You recently removed a thread of mine about a game where I experienced multiple feeding (probably unintentional) players. While I'm indifferent about the post itself being removed, I was wondering if you could give me some type of clarity about being dropped into such a low quality matchmade experience. This is something that seems to be happening a lot lately, having gone on extended losing streaks in the last couple of weeks, where, there isn't much I could have done to win the game, and it really felt like some of these players just started.

I appreciate everything riot does to keep the game civil, and I certainly try to do my part to keep it that way, while venting my occasional frustrations, but I am grateful for the latitude. Thanks.

So, I think you likely are conflating luck with "bad quality" in matchmaking.

Matchmaking has no way (nor does any human even) to know how a player will perform in a game. Maybe a player is in a role they're not normally in (they play mid 90% of the time but this game they got their secondary), putting them at an instant disadvantage. Maybe their primary and/or secondary champs for the role are taken/banned, again - instant disadvantage. Couple this with the normal compositional differences and you have a player who's normally a silver level having a game that makes you think they should be Bronze 5.

Players have bad games - and matchmaking literally can't guarantee you your team will be playing good. The bottom line is in every matchup (be it one fight, an entire lane, or an entire game) one side has to lose - and you just happened to be on the losing side. That doesn't have to mean anything with matchmaking.

League isn't designed to be a "solo carry" game. If it was, there'd be no reason to even have teams - why have a team if the game is won/lost based on how many people are "solo carrying" anyway?

Perhaps you're right. I'm just astonished, that all 4 other players could go 0-n-0 in a single game. Its probably never happened before, so there's that, just makes it all the more unusual.
