Questions about reporting a post

Hi; I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but if not I'm sure I'll be told the correct place.

Recently I have seen a couple posts that don't invoke ANY meaningful discussion. For example, the most recent post I saw was someone basically saying "I uninstalled, I hope your game dies Riot." ...And that's it. And then the comment section was full of people either saying "I still love this game" or people saying "You're lying if you say you love this game" and it was incredibly pointless and stupid.

My question is; if I see a post that just sparks negative insults and arguments, can I report it? And if so, what should I report it as?

You're welcome to report any posts you believe to be breaking the rules or causing any problems. In regards to what option you should report it as, I'd suggest using "offensive" or "spam" in this case.

If you aren't sure what option to use, just click whichever fits closest, or even use the other option. We read through everything that gets reported to determine if it's breaking any rules, and action accordingly regardless of what it was actually reported for. In the end, as long as an offending post gets reported, the option it was reported for is irrelevant.

If a user creates low efford threads without ever revisiting them (or at least never participating in the discussion) we could beliece that person is in no way interested in having a discussion in the first place. How is that not being handled in any way?

We try to do our best when it comes to catching low effort posts, but being volunteers, we can't catch them all / instantly. If something is low effort, but it's gained traction / has discussion going on without breaking other rules, we generally opt to leave it alone, even if the thread's creator isn't actively participating.

Basically, we don't want to "punish" other players for having an actual discussion in a thread just because the OP doesn't want to be a part of it (assuming that's the case. Sometimes people just don't reply for a while. I've had people reply to me close to a month later in their own threads.)
