Cenrtal point:
Riot adjusts the MMR matching algorithms of premades, because premades "communicate better, therefore are more effective and have an unfair advantage"
Reality:
At low mmr, (below gold?) every time I see a 3man or 4man premade, they feed their asses off.
Individually they are all clearly worse players than me, judging by the datapoints that at least 2 of them die at least twice, by around 6 minutes.
That's on a good day. However, half the time, they give up 10 deaths, by 10 minutes. And by "give up" the deaths, I mean for free. As in 10 to 0, or 10 to 1.
So, the "balanced" adjusted matchmaking, basically ensures I get put in a game it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to win.
This is the opposite of balanced.
Definitely the opposite of fun as well.
Proposed Fix:
stop doing MMR boosting of premades below gold MMR levels.
Or, give people a way to avoid getting dragged into premade-team matching.
I'm sorry I wasn't more clear in why your content was not approved:
- It needs more editing, more analysis and more content.
- It's based on observation bias (every time I see a 3man or 4man premade)
- There's a lot of hyperbole and "anecdata".
- The logic flows poorly. If MMR modulation causes you to be matched both with and against people who are substantially less skilled than you are, then you should be able to beat them (there can be only 4 scrubs on your team, as compared to 5 on theirs).
- The tone of your post discourages commentary.
