why gameplay devs rarely speak in the forums?

i am aware of the dev corner, but unlike the non-gameplay devs which speak in posts in other categories, the gameplay/development devs don't.

I feel this lack of communication rather frustrating since they used to answer and talk in the regular boards

Simple. They're too busy actually examining and evaluating data and changes. Something virtually nobody on this board seems to know how to do anymore.

If you look at the Rioters posts from the old forums to now, you'll see their tone and even bluntly putting it that they're getting frustrated that they aren't being listened to. The playerbase pissed them off by acting like someone who spent 5 minutes writing one comment has taken as much time to look at it as the developers. The players ignored their playtest evidence and rebuttals. And anytime a change was reverted or tuned back, players jumped on them to say I told you so.

Nobody wants to believe it, but Rioters lack of participation is the result of our own actions as players. I'm glad to see the mods here have tried this gameplay+ concept and hopefully it can get the attention of Rioters who gave up on the boards to get them back.

Because there is no insight that we low elos have to offer that they don't already know. We actually only have access to a tiny sliver of information that riot collects from every game.
