Can you guys put up a mandatory megathread for the whole NB3/Whoever the fuck controversy?

There's quite a lot of posts in various boards that bring absolutely nothing new to the table...Would be nice to have a megathread for it to consolidate all of them to one place so that the rest of us don't have to deal with it.

I'd appreciate it, and I feel a lot of others would. People who care about this have one place they can look at it, and the rest of us can go back to complaining about the 853 billion posts whining about Yasuo.

That's not really something we can do.

To begin with, we can't move or merge threads, so we would be left with deleting threads - which always goes badly whenever it's something that catches the community's ire like this (remember PAX special panel/DZK?). Even though we aren't Riot employees, people accuse us of censoring them to protect the company line.
Everyone always thinks their hot take is the one that should stay up, so there's that.
People don't read stickies or FAQ's, so they're always surprised and hurt when their content gets deleted.
Another consequence of us not being employees is that we don't have any special insight or authority, even though people think otherwise. This means we can't steer conversations in a more productive direction.

Ultimately, all we can do is try to keep people respectful and weather out the drama.
