The boards "Hot" discussions filter formula is a joke...

Whenever I make a thread, I need to "prime" it with one or two upvotes from alt accounts or 95% of the time it will be quickly and permanently lost to page two with little or no discussion and like 10 total views unless it has a click-bait or belligerent title. Once discussion has gotten going, I will occasionally refresh the thread to find that it has dropped by -10 upvotes within a couple minutes, as someone who disagreed with something has come through and decided to suppress the conversation by dropping it off the "hot" discussions with their horde of downvoting smurf accounts... I think that the "hot" discussion filter needs to be changed so that it can't be manipulated like this. These boards shouldn't be a competition of who has the most alt accounts before you can put your two cents in...
