Recently got this sent to me because I apparently posted a discussion in the wrong place. Lol?... Here's where YOU are wrong CaptainMarvelous:

There are literally 10 other front page discussions on the board I posted on going over the same topic in a similar or same manner as I do. Did you remove these? No... they've clearly survived awhile to reach front page. If one fits... they all fit. Don't go removing one because you maybe don't agree with the content. If it's not in the wrong spot and it's not blatantly against Riot policies in terms of respect, then there's no legal standing to remove it.
I used to post that type of discussion in a DIFFERENT section of the boards... the one you'd suggest. But every time I would post such a discussion there... guess what. YOU guys MADE me move it... to gameplay. YOU. I argued with you guys before that it belonged there and you kept forcing me to move such discussions to gameplay rather than player behavior. So make up your damn minds as the people in charge of board posts and get on the same page with each other because you guys clearly are not.

I am severely disappointed with the effort, logic, and COURTESY of several people in charge of the boards. They let bias affect how they do their job. They over-react to the most minor of negative comments by one person while overlooking blatant insults from another (due to agreeing with their stance on a topic) person that would get them chat restricted if they said it in-game. They delete posts without actually taking the time to comprehend what is being said and assume the person posting to be dumb rather than give them the benefit of the doubt or take 10 whole sec to google something they're unsure of. When they make a mistake, they've never owned up to it or given an apology. One says post here... the other person says post there and ping-pong you between two boards both demanding you put it in the other person's sub-board. Now, there are some great people who manage the boards and some I don't mind or have any issues with. But there's far too many of you who fit the issues I just described and have no business being in charge of anything. Please, if you are at all sincere about doing your job properly, look into how you and others are doing your jobs and improve on withholding bias and interpersonal communication so that you are all on the same page. Show a little bit of the decency you demand from boards members... respect, admitting a mistake, etc. A little common courtesy goes a long way.

You're going to be seeing more of this in the future, actually, as the moderation team is working to provide clearer vision for the individual sub-boards and focusing in on what the users of that board really want. In this case, we continue to get reports from Gameplay that say they want more content related to actually playing the game. Your post definitely is a better fit for Player Behavior and you're more than welcome to repost it there.

I like them cleaning up the boards and more clearly defining sub-boards too. What I don't like is when it is done in an inconsistent and disrespectful manner.

My post wasn't offensive, so at least give me link to deleted post so I can replace it in proper board.
Don't talk to me like I'm stupid and it's obvious that my post is in the wrong section when... I literally spent the last 2 years having these people tell me I HAD to post it where I did because posting it in the section I thought it best fit in (where they now decided IS the correct place) was wrong. So now... 2 years after repeatedly forcing me to move such posts... you decide I was right and treat me like an idiot for... following what you told me to do?
Be consistent. If you're going to change where stuff belongs, then do that for everyone posting that type of content. Not just some, and not just some of the time.

Again... a little decency goes a long way. Perhaps my post here wasn't the nicest either, but it is in response to the disrespectful and inconsistent manner with which I was treated first. And it is far from the terrible and offensive posts some make. I've had too many poor interactions with boards people in positions like Ulanopo where they ignore common sense, refuse to apologize when they make a mistake, and show favoritism and bias when making judgement calls. So all things considered, I think I've kept this pretty civil. I've said nothing that isn't true. So if it hurts, perhaps they will be more careful of their choices in the future and I won't need to call them out.

If you take responsibility of being a moderator or advisor or whatever, you are given extra authority... but you have a responsibility that comes along with it. And the way you act towards others on the boards should likewise be more professional than what the average boards member need display. We all need to show that, but especially those with authority. It's no different than a police officer with the public or a school teacher with a parent or student. If you let one guy off without a ticket but fine the other for doing the same exact thing and people find out, you lose their trust. You give one student an extension on their project because they play basketball and the other student doesn't get one because you aren't interested in drama club and... you lose respect of your students.

Some people might look at my post and think I'm trying to tear down these Riot Volunteers. But I'm not. I'm pointing out flaws and mistakes they've made in the hopes they improve on them. So that next time they do something, they're more careful and considerate before acting and that they do the right thing... consistently. Most of the time I think many of them do. But like all of us, there is room to improve.

Your thread title in the removed content section should've been hyperlinked to your thread. If it wasn't, then that is an error and I apologize that it happened. We do always try to link removed threads and locations of removed comments.

We do use a bit of a form for incorrect board removals. It's not saying you're stupid, it's just saying it's in the wrong section. I know that things are changing and I understand the frustration that comes with having your thread removed because policy changed after so many years. Again, we're not trying to treat you like an idiot and I'm sorry if it comes off that way; we're just informing you that this is now the wrong place to post these types of threads and where it now is better suited. Since we don't know your history off hand, we generally opt to a simple "Oh, this is wrong, but this is the right area and don't worry this isn't a warning" message.

We do try to be consistent, but there are threads that slip by our notice simply because we're all volunteers and can't be everywhere at once. If you see a thread that is not in the right section, report it or bring it to us directly on the Discord so we can discuss it.

We always appreciate feedback and we are trying to improve constantly. However, we are still human who are trying to communicate to a vast number of people from varying backgrounds using only written words on the internet which is notorious for being misinterpreted. Not to mention moderating a large Boards with a small volunteer team isn't the easiest at times. Like I said, we can't catch everything just like the police won't be around to spot every speeder and the teacher won't always be able to notice every little infraction a student commits (trust me, I've taught in classrooms and contrary to popular belief, there are no eyes on the back of teachers' heads). The community is our eyes and ears so report and bring things to our attention. Sometimes we won't take action though because things don't actually violate the rules. If something isn't being removed that you believes violates the rules, again, bring it to the Discord so we can discuss the problem directly. We want to be actively communicating with the community to help them better understand. Heck, that's why we have Discuss the Boards =P

We try to be professional and if you see comments that are definitely not up to a professional standard (outside of normal posting - we still get to be actual board participants after all) you can let us know. Please do understand though that we won't always be able to respond in exactly the perfect way for everyone and are only doing the best we can.

Then maybe... when that's where I was originally posting that type of content... you shouldn't force me for over a year to re-post it to gameplay and act like it's my fault when I then post it in... gameplay.

Make up your mind. It's one or the other. Can't be having one of you remove it from gameplay and tell me it has to be in player behavior and then I post it in player behavior and have another of you remove it and tell me it has to go in gameplay. That's kind of an issue you see.

P.S. If this happens, definitely come to the Discord and let us know. That should never happen quickly back to back and would be an error.
