Board banned by accident?

So I'm not going to say 'mod abuse' yet, because I don't know if it was a mistake.

I recently got a 1-day ban, because of a comment that didn't break the Universal Rules in LITERALLY any possible way.

Here it is: ''Yeah, they don't. Only cowards hide under fake accounts. It's not my problem if you are insecure and have self esteem issues.''

Hiding under a fake account is LITERALLY being a coward, insecure and to have self esteem issues. It's pretty much the definition of that and a fact (not an opinion). There is no arguing about it.

I thought that smurfs are treated the same way as toxic players and hackers, who all ruin the game for others. All of them are unapproved by most of the playerbase and Rioters. But I see a lot of posts calling those by A LOT worse words and not by facts (only negative opinions).

I see that smurfs could find that offensive, but that would be highly hypocritical since there is a lot of posts and comments that are FAR more offensive but not deleted even when reported.

I know a player whose entire boards profile is based on attacking a certain group of people and he is not getting any kind of treatment (but I'm not linking it because it would break the Universal Rules).

I feel like the mod who banned me did it just because he didn't like the facts in my post that the comment was under like the 20+ people who downvoted it for some reason, but that's just my theory.

I took a look, and it appears that you were not banned just for the one harassing comment towards another individual, but because you've had several other removals of the same type. We do escalating punishments here just like in the game; if you are told not to do something and you keep doing it, we move from a warning to a temp ban, to longer temp bans, and finally to a permanent one.

I read your post thoroughly and answered the primary concern; "Was I banned by accident?"

To reiterate, no, the ban was not a mistake. You have had several removals for insulting and inflammatory comments towards others, and due to continuing this behavior you were moved to a 1 day suspension. This is standard and there was no mod bias/abuse in this case.

Concerning your claims that you were "just stating facts";

No you weren't, you were making baseless accusations irrelevant to the discussion instead of engaging in a constructive debate.
Even in the event that they were true, that doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want. Be respectful to the other players. The golden rule on the boards is "Don't be a jerk".

About your complaints with the thread you posted;

I can't say why the report on that was passed over. If you take issue with a moderator's action or inaction, please visit us on the Moderation Discord. There you can speak with the moderators in charge of that board directly and discuss it. Sometimes reports are incorrectly passed over, or a judgement call that was made could be changed if you just provide some context to your report.

If you have any other questions or concerns let me know. Otherwise, I recommend visiting the Mod Discord to sort out your concerns with the moderation staff responsible for the topics you brought up here today (it's not the Arbiter's jurisdiction).

Also note that the ''It's not my problem if you are insecure and have self esteem issues.'' was not targeted at the player I was replying to but to people who intentionally ruin the game by smurfing.

The wording makes it seem as though it was though. Even after reading with ^this context added, I don't get a different meaning from reading it. Proofreading for such things is important. I hope a mod will help you out with the context surrounding the ban.
