Suggestion for Boards - a graveyard section for deleted threads.

Hey can I make a suggestion? Could we get a graveyard section where threads get moved instead of deleted? Recently I saw a complaint thread about the guy's thread being deleted because he didn't think it was justified. The rest of us don't get to see his deleted thread, so we don't get any public accountability on the moderation. We just get the poster's word.

If the threads were just moved to a locked section where they could be linked for reference it would be great for accountability. Perhaps the section should not be browsable and only the moderation team and the poster of a deleted topic can locate the thread. So if the poster doesn't want to dispute it, they can just leave it dead.

Hey, saw your comment so I came looking for this.

There's a reason we delete threads or comments, and oftentimes it's just because they are really bad for other people to be seeing them. Having a section where you can just browse those would be counterintuitive as it would leave the problem unresolved.

The individual is free to discuss the removal, the boards, or other moderation actions publicly here on Discuss the Boards. We expect to be held fully accountable for the actions we take, and we keep this and our Moderation Discord open for you guys to talk about it or contest the action. We give players a link to their thread which they can always view (and copy to repost content if necessary and appropriate) and we explain the action in the removal notification. If they want to publicize what we told them, they can do so; we aren't hiding anything we do.
